Great but
I bought this watch a month ago. I really enjoy the battery life and the screen. My only annoyance is sometimes it doesn’t correctly pick up my sleep and another big thing is, I can’t send text via iOS from the watch. And that itself is making me debate about getting an android phone or switching to the ultra 3

Great watch!
I switched from a Samsung Gear watch. This has far more features, and a great screen. Plus it holds a charge for a long time.

Doesn’t worth the price
This is my 7th Garmin smartwatch, I would say it’s not worth the price, the touch screen is laggy and slow, the buttons constantly get pushed by accident during normal hand motions, in terms of sensor accuracy, it didn’t add anything to the previous generation from my personal experience, it’s still good. The IQ store is actively promoted but keep in mind, the non-Garmin apps and watch faces may make it lag, glitch and freeze, because most of the apps are not updated consistently. This happened to me, I have lost pretty significant amount of data because of it. Smart features don’t work half the time. If this is going to be your first Garmin watch, you may like it but it’s definitely not worth the upgrade from previous generations, and most definitely not worth the price tag.

Great watch
I bought the 47mm a month ago after the owner of the company I work for got one for his birthday. I already owned a 51mm that I use for running. The 47mm is the perfect size for an everyday watch and you have all the great features the 51mm has with the exception of battery life. For myself that’s not a deal breaker as I just love the Fenix 8 watches.

Great overall sports smart watch
I bought my Fenix 8 AMOLED Saphire about one month ago and love it. The amount of data it provides is really great. It takes a bit longer to set everything up as liked (Apple Watches are a bit easier to get that accomplished), but once you are done everything is easy. Love the longer lasting battery (my average is about 10 days) that supports training, reading and reviewing data. The silicone bands are light and feel great too. Thumbs up and a definite buy recommendation from me !!

Huge upgrade
Had Fénix 7 for 4yrs or so and decided to replace for marathon season. Everything about this watch seems better. Screen is very sharp, with vivid colors. I thought for sure the battery would be a huge issue, but not even a little. There’s a few features that allow it to run fo over a week even with the improved screen. Not an amazing feat by Fénix standards, but compared to any other smart watch, it’s revolutionary. I suppose if i dint have “always on” going it could last for at least twice that. Same level of comfort, and the clasp seems a bit more secure (as do the little things that hold down the excess). Love the watch, would buy again and recommend to anyone.

Amazing Upgrade
I upgraded to the Fenix 8 a month ago and absolutely made the right choice. Hardcore Garmin user since the Fenix 3 , I use their diver computers and cycling as well. This watch does it all and with an amoled display. You can't go wrong.

Great Watch
I was on my 3rd apple watch and the battery was going bad so I tried the Fenix and what an improvement. It has a lot of great features. I just wish they had a better users manual to help us old folks with learning how to use all the features. It takes a slow learning process, I don't thing I'll ever know everything. But the features I use are great.

Hi there! We do have a page called Support Center, it has access to videos and articles that will walk through step-by-step things that are both written and not written in the owners manual! Here is a direct link to the home page for the watch! http://ms.spr.ly/6429sSn43 As well as here is a link to our "Getting started" video that will walk through getting your watch set up and configured! http://ms.spr.ly/6421sSn4P

Great fitness tracker but...
It's a great fitness tracker I love the level of detail you get and the battery life, but it feels slow when navigating through the menus and slow when using the smart assistant, it lacks basic smart watch features like voice dictation for messages and the spekear volume is really low making it unusable for some of its features,

Great watch. Worth the extra money.
I love the watch. I’m really enjoying the different tracking metrics and challenges. The gps features are very clear and precise. I previously had a Fitbit, which I really enjoyed, but I’m glad I stepped up to the Garmin. The touchscreen is a little sensitive so I often will disable the feature when I’m not working out. I’m very happy with my purchase.

It’s okay
I am not really sure what the hype is. Constantly having connectivity issues; doesn’t upload the activity anywhere else, like my activity in Apple Health—regardless of the permissions being there; maps randomly disappear; notifications via “smart notifications”…not smart yet, they will randomly just not give the notification and it lasts for days. For a watch that is more expensive than my rent, I expect at least the “exercise watch with smart capabilities” to be semi true. Overall, the comfortability is the best part. This is a Segway watch into the MK3i for diving, just to get used to a Garmin, but I am unsure if that would be worth the money anymore.

Outdated software and way overpriced
I really want to like Garmin and am no fan of Apple but you guys are going to have a smaller market like Polar because you are not competitive with Apple.

Amazing and overwhelming
There is so much to this watch. I’m coming from an Apple Watch and there is so much more detail and features available to this Fenix 8 it’s amazing but also overwhelming. I’m not too tech savvy so it has taken time and patience to learn what I want, how I want it to look, and also what else is available that will benefit me. I can’t wait to learn and use it for gaining a better health.

Sure it is far better but difficult to figure out
I love many aspects, but I'm struggling to figure out the purpose of several parts I bought, and the provided instructions are minimal. Many things I've tried have simply not worked, so I think it's amazing, but it should come with a manual that is searchable and includes videos.
