I was on my 3rd apple watch and the battery was going bad so I tried the Fenix and what an improvement. It has a lot of great features. I just wish they had a better users manual to help us old folks with learning how to use all the features. It takes a slow learning process, I don't thing I'll ever know everything. But the features I use are great.

Hi there! We do have a page called Support Center, it has access to videos and articles that will walk through step-by-step things that are both written and not written in the owners manual! Here is a direct link to the home page for the watch! http://ms.spr.ly/6429sSn43 As well as here is a link to our "Getting started" video that will walk through getting your watch set up and configured! http://ms.spr.ly/6421sSn4P

It's a great fitness tracker I love the level of detail you get and the battery life, but it feels slow when navigating through the menus and slow when using the smart assistant, it lacks basic smart watch features like voice dictation for messages and the spekear volume is really low making it unusable for some of its features,

I love the watch. I’m really enjoying the different tracking metrics and challenges. The gps features are very clear and precise. I previously had a Fitbit, which I really enjoyed, but I’m glad I stepped up to the Garmin. The touchscreen is a little sensitive so I often will disable the feature when I’m not working out. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I am not really sure what the hype is. Constantly having connectivity issues; doesn’t upload the activity anywhere else, like my activity in Apple Health—regardless of the permissions being there; maps randomly disappear; notifications via “smart notifications”…not smart yet, they will randomly just not give the notification and it lasts for days. For a watch that is more expensive than my rent, I expect at least the “exercise watch with smart capabilities” to be semi true. Overall, the comfortability is the best part. This is a Segway watch into the MK3i for diving, just to get used to a Garmin, but I am unsure if that would be worth the money anymore.

There is so much to this watch. I’m coming from an Apple Watch and there is so much more detail and features available to this Fenix 8 it’s amazing but also overwhelming. I’m not too tech savvy so it has taken time and patience to learn what I want, how I want it to look, and also what else is available that will benefit me. I can’t wait to learn and use it for gaining a better health.

I love many aspects, but I'm struggling to figure out the purpose of several parts I bought, and the provided instructions are minimal. Many things I've tried have simply not worked, so I think it's amazing, but it should come with a manual that is searchable and includes videos.

Bought this 3vweeks ago. Everything worked great for 2 weeks. Now when my phone rings it doesn't on the watch. I've gone through every setting every restart procedure tried everything. Tried contacting garmen and figured its just not worth the time anymore. Besides this the watch is amazing. Very confortable really great monitoring. When strength training in the gym, 80% of the time it know what movement I'm doing. Very good at tracking steps, oxygen, sleep, calories, i like the body battery. I'd say its pretty good

I purchased this watch a few weeks ago and overall I love it. The amount of tracking available is amazing and it fits very well. On to short comings… For the price there shouldn’t be a monthly charge for the software. Also the customization for the weightlifting is limited and makes it challenging to change during your workout. Overall I’m happy with the purchase but I couldn’t say it’s worth the price tag.

    My Fenix 8

I love this watch! Admittedly, it has more capabilities than I use, but the features I use are very good. Wearing the watch along with my Oura ring didn’t last long and the latter has been relegated to my dresser drawer as the former does everything the Oura does and more… especially in sleep tracking. I’m pleased I got the 47mm rather than the 51mm. The display on the AMOLED is great. I did change the watch strap as the orange was pretty obnoxious.

Overall it’s a nice watch. Battery seems to work well. My biggest complaint is that it’s not easy like other smart watches to operate and I CAN NOT receive text messages. Also I have to have my phone close by for some of the functions to work. It will NOT allow me to use AMEX or my other credit cards for smart pay. To have paid the money I did for this watch and the only thing better than an Apple Watch is looks and a flash light.

Swiss Army Knife of smartwatches (4.9/5 Stars)

    4 out of 5 stars

Several years back I had a Fenix 3 (at least I think it was. Sometime around 2018ish) And I loved it. This version is light years better. Lots of cool and helpful features like the sleep monitor, shows you how do certain exercises, the flashlight feature is amazing too. I would call this the smartwatch equivalent of the Swiss Army knife. I have only one dislike about it. I feel like the band is a little too thin. It could be a tad wider. Maybe that’s personal preference, but I believe a watch with this big of a face should come with a slightly wider band. And I know you can buy other bands, so it’s absolutely not a deal breaker. So my honest rating of it would be a 4.9 out of 5 stars.

Love the watch however it was most shocking when I found out that you have buy different faces for it , I would think that a watch that cost as much as it does, that would be somewhat included, just because of that fact I might return it

Overall good. Glitches + nice to have missing

Good watch for its features, fitness tracking, especially diving computer that I've used and doesn't require an additional subscription. Battery is also a highlights with 2 weeks autonomy. On the downside, my watch had to be replaced twice in a year already due to glitches (Garmin makes it easy and free to swap though). Garmin Pay is not working on my watch at all even with compatible cards/banks, can't add any at all. I've exhausted all troubleshooting and support options by now, not fixable at this point. Very frustrating! To Garmin: Own this! Go meet with the banks and stop telling your customers to do your work and ask their banks to make it compatible when not or make complex efforts to fix it. Your support has been more than helpless in this case - awful. Garmin Pay is an advertised feature on this watch. Also nice to have missing: hen immersing in a pool like to swim would be nice to have a temperature reading automatically popping up like Apple. Taking into account the downsides, it makes its price a little on the too expensive side of things.
