I bought this watch unsure which model was the best of Garmin and without trying the other ones this is easily worth the money and definitely worth the self investment I run cross country in highschool and it tracks more then enough for me to understand what’s going on and that’s only one side of this watch it has hiking swimming features that I don’t use it is a seem less connection whether iPhone or Samsung user I love how it connects to Strava to track runs and is easily a top choice for me

I use this as a daily watch. Gives great insights for training readiness and sleep. Great list of sports that you you can use it for, even if it's marketed as just a running or triathalon watch. Lacks some depth in certain sports that Garmin makes more specific products for (cycling, golf, etc...) but a great do-it-all option.

Husband bought this for me as a birthday present! So far I Love it! It’s lightweight and easy to set up. I mainly use it for health info on sleep, stress and battery etc. unlike Apple Watch I love the simplicity of the watch itself. I also turned off notifications to prolong the battery. I’m so glad my husband gifted me this! We ended up getting our daughter one for her cross country!

    3 Week Update

I give the watch a solid 9/10. I deduct the one because the app is glitchy at times, and setting the watch up was somewhat glitchy. Other than that I've loved having the watch. I do keep the gps on so the battery life is a week instead of the 14 days which isn't super horrible. Highly recommend though.

Questionable value for an older person

I've used this watch for a year now and find it is not the best watch for a septuagenarian. After a prostatectomy I get up several times each night to go to the bathroom. Frequently the watch resets my sleep time to begin after I have been asleep for a few hours. It does not record steps when mowing the lawn or doing grocery shopping. Otherwise, I like the features on the face and the accuracy of heart rate when working out. Remarks the watch gives me on need to reduce stress or how much sleep I will need to recover help. This watch would have been great in most aspects when I was 20-30 years younger.

I'm very happy with the Forerunner 265. Bought this watch as a replacement to my old Forerunner 235 that served me well for the last 10 years. I'm really happy with the upgrade to the new 265,. Awesome watch faces available in the IQ App store. Lots of great awesome features I did not have in my old watch. Great Apps and upgrades over that of my old watch and I'm so happy I bought it. So far. I've used it for a couple of bike rides, and I've kept it on at night to monitor my sleep patterns. HRM and Pulse Oximeter work great too. So many upgrades that I just can't list them all here. You can't go wrong with this watch if you're looking to upgrade from an older Garmin model.

I am so happy with Garmin products and this watch is no exception. Such great quality and so much thought was put into what a user would like to see when wearing the device. Placement of the information is clear and choices in what is displayed is so beneficial.

Ditched my 2nd Apple Watch: it wouldn’t hold a charge during marathon training and Apple refused a new battery. It’s necessary to pair my headphones with my iPhone instead of my Forerunner 265. During long runs, I listen to music, but may have to take a call from family, and my Bluetooth Shockz can only pair to one device at a time. Otherwise, I loved my music playlist working from my Garmin. I can’t read any texts during a run because the words are too tiny, but I do get a notification that family is texting me, often a needed boost, and I pull my phone to take a look. I love the stats that my Garmin gives me and that I can post it directly to Strava, where my coaches can analyze them. Programming a workout in Garmin connect on my iPhone and sending it to my watch has really been a boon: I don’t have to mark out 200 m, 400 m on our trails where we train, nor do I have to count, timed intervals, nor recovery distance/time. And seriously, it has shown when my HRV is out of balance alerting that I’m having an issue that may need medical attention. I wear it 24/7: the alarms I’ve set are necessary and work seamlessly. The alerts during a run keep me focused: eat, drink, walk, turn around, etc., are, again, crucial to my training success. Would love better compatibility with my iPhone, but I may switch to an Android with the greater productivity in my fitness tracking and assistance because of my Garmin. —Apple user since 1982.

I do love my Garmin, but I fear there may be something wrong with mine. Since I have gotten it, I cannot get a good sleep score. It read in the 40s almost every single night, or even lower. I also have an Oura ring that tracks my health, and I will get a 86 sleep score with them and a 42 with Garmin. I am worried a sensor or something is faulty in my watch.
