Really love my Garmin 965. Use it mostly for running 4-5 days a week and hiking. The heart rate tracking is the only disappointment, it catches my cadence rather than my heart rate on almost every run, overall great watch.

Coming from an Apple Watch this is night and day. Battery life is exceptional, screen is bright and vivid, and menus are easy to navigate. Syncing with your phone and using the apps is a breeze. Syncing music is way way faster than on the Apple Watch

Can't believe I waited this long to make the switch from an Apple watch. Loving the battery life and customization of the data screens during different activities. I can tell from examining my activities that the GPS is more accurate than my old watch. The display is really vivid and the whole system is very responsive. The full color map with routing is a great perk. I feel like I could explore the features of this thing for many months to come. I didn't like the stock silicone band, so I swapped it out for a non-OEM nylon band that was cheaper and now I find it to be extremely comfortable and easy to wear.

This watch has been fantastic for running, hiking, and swimming… much more accurate than my old Apple Watch Series 4. GPS is spot on, battery life is excellent, and the activity tracking is incredibly detailed. That said, the user interface isn’t the most intuitive if you’re new to Garmin, it takes a bit of time to get used to. Once you do, though, it’s a powerful tool for serious training and outdoor adventures.

I have been running with a Garmin for 20 years now, slowly upgrading as Forerunners got smaller and better. I’ve had the 935 for at least 5 years and hadn’t been in a hurry to upgrade since I use my Apple Watch on one arm for the music and phone access and the Garmin on the other for the running metrics. When the 970 came out, I thought now might be the time to go with the deeply discounted 965 since it was a big step up from where I was without going whole hog on $$. It was a good move! The screen is so much brighter than my 935, it has pulse ox and tons more metrics (body battery, altitude acclimation, heat acclimation, HRV to name a few). I don’t know how good the battery life is because it says it’s great but it does seem like it’s wearing down faster than the old one, probably because of the screen. It’s lighter/slimmer than my old one. No problem pairing it with my COROS arm band. Now has a USB C charger (still proprietary plug for the watch). Really happy with the upgrade, glad I did it and the price is right.

This watch has an incredible battery life even with a whole suite of features enabled. It can generally go over a full week of wearing it without needing a charge. Lots of customization options available to make checking on notifications and overall health statistics a painless experience. It's fairly light on the wrist and does not weigh a whole lot either and the overall shape is small enough to make it quite comfortable to wear even with a long sleeve shirt or a hoodie on.

Absolutely love this watch, haven't taken it off since it arrived. Having come from an apple watch I was worried about missing it, but I haven't one bit. I have loved everything about the Forerunner and I find myself using it more than I used the apple watch. The messages, calling, and phone related things aren't as good as the Apple watch, but it makes up for it with insane battery life, workout accuracy, and overall performance.

It tracks everything: running power, heart rate, training readiness, sleep, and recovery. GPS is fast and super accurate, even in tricky areas. The maps and built-in navigation are game-changers for trail running and biking. It's lightweight yet durable, and the titanium bezel gives it a premium feel.
