GE JVM3160RFSS 1.6 Cu. Ft. Stainless Over-the-Range Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a GE model which lasted 25 years. The new unit works well and has excellent wattage and capacity. It was very easy to install. New unit mirrors the old unit with acceptable controls and ventilation. Pleased and hopeful new unit will last at least half as long as old unit.

Although we did not install it ourselves, it looked easy enough. I haven't learned all the features, the ones I have used are much easier than our older microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just the right capacity for me and the ready indicator bell is not annoying ! Operates quieter than previous 16 yr old microwave. Ignacio was a pro and installed it by himself. Reggie was polite and helped with the take-away appliances and the cleanup. I appreciate the 2 under-lights with a bright and dim options. I purchased it during the Labor Day Sale, which helped the extra Installation & haul away fees. There were many brands to choose from and I chose GE for all my appliances. I'm satisfied and it was so easy to Register the Warranty online.

Only thing I find a bit deficient is the Reheat option. Previously, there was a chart showing settings for specific types of foods. On this one, just a reheat button and then input numbers for I’m guessing , number of servings.

just what is necessary with the most used functions and it works very well. I recommend it.

The controls are easy to understand, love the “add 30 seconds “ feature, had it installed by professional (which took about 10-15 minutes) and it is far superior to the old one which was here when I moved in. All appliances left by previous owner were Samsung & old. I have so far replaced three with GE, & have been super pleased with all. Thanks for producing appliances that work well and are easy to use. Love it!!

Ive only been in my new house a few months and I noticed when I was above the microwave putting things in a cabinet how gross the vent was. I've been trying to find a replacement snd clean the vents but it's difficult. Looks as though something isn't right. I washed it and now I can't put it back because it doesn't fit. It doesn't seem to be the correct filter.

Product functions well, just have a few things that could work a little better. This one is a little loud. Not to a point where it bothers me just could be quieter. The top vent is very open so things could fall in. Mounting was very easy and it heats food well. Also alarm is loud enough without being annoying. Company is also very good and happy to help or send replacement parts if needed. Though this product came with no defect. Would buy again for the price.
