Purchased these about 2 days ago and love the convenience and simplicity. When storms threaten and we lose power this will provide a light source that's already charged. The LED is cool to the touch and allows you to switch to flashlight mode. Going back to the home store to buy more.

FABULOUS during our recent 3 day power outage
I have been telling all my friends about this bulb. I HIGHLY recommend these bulbs!!! We had a power outage for several days during the heat wave (and tornado) and I happened to be in the hallway with this light on when the power went out. I was thrilled to have a 60W bulb lighting the hallway. For those who don't think these bulbs work----I thought that too the first time the power went out, but I guess I must not have charged it enough until this power outage happened. This time it stayed on and worked. I sat in the hallway for 4+ hours doing work, hoping for the power to return. When I learned the power was going to be out for several days, I turned off the hall light. During the next 2 days, it was nice to walk downstairs and be able to hit the light switch and have the hallway light up. After being on for many hours, the wattage was much lower than 60W (and somewhat dim), but better than a flashlight, since it lit things from above, so the dark hallway was not pitch black and was lit enough for me to move around easily. I only wish I'd realized how great these bulbs were. I got them on sale and ended up returning the other bulb because I didn't think they worked. They work great. I highly recommend this bulb!! I'm hoping to see a sale on them so I can get another one.

Great for emergencies
I live this light bulb. This is the second one I bought (the first one was over two years ago, it still works). I bought this second one due to a 24 hour power outage after a big storm. We were the only condo in our unit with lights in the living room. These bulbs work great.

Good Idea BUT
These bulbs are great for lights that you leave on day and night. When the light is turned off with the switch these come on. The technology exists to prevent that, but these bulbs don't have it.

Amazing. Lasted MUCH longer in recent power outage than it even states. I use in my regular lamps. My power went out while the lamp was on and it remained on. First night I left it on for four hours (to try and conserve). Next night it lasted for over 12 hours, dimming the last little bit. Planning to replace my fixture bulbs with this bulb. Game changer and pleasant, warm lighting!

New Battery Backup Lights (New to Me)
I bought a 3 box of the flood light 65watt and I bought and a box of 5 traditional 60watt. So, I installed them and the light is phenomenal, great light. When I turn the wall switch to off the bulbs stay on? I am not sure what I am not doing correctly with these new battery back up bulbs. I am missing something? When I turn off the wall light switch shouldn't the light go off rather than staying on? Does anyone else have this issue with wall light switch?

Could be really handy if it actually works!
You wouldn’t know this was a battery backup lightbulb unless someone told you! We haven’t had a power outage yet, but I read other reviews that said simply unplugging the lamp does NOT test the auto-on function (it’s smarter than that). I only gave 4 stars because I won’t really know if it works until power goes out snd this thing is $$$$$.

These are a life save during power outages. Gives great amount of soft light. They are much cheaper in my area during off peak weather season. I have one for most rooms in my house and the kids are no longer afraid when the power goes out during a storm.

Nice automatic battery lights
Comes on when the power goes out. Bulbs last about 5 hours on the battery. Light is a nice soft/almost warm white so not a horrendous cold blue light or anything. Nice that you can take out and use as a flashlight also. They dim a little when on battery but that was expected. Overall really good product for the price and will probably buy more.

Wierd
Bulb flickers when on which is annoying, thought maybe it needs to work with non-dimming lamps so move to another floor lamp but as soon as I twist bulb in it lights up even though lamp is off and the battery switch is off, tried on another overhead hanging lamp same behavior. Great idea but execution is flaky and flickering behavior very annoying
