If you are a true dark chocolate fan , this will be more of a milk chocolate for you . It's very high in sugar , but the quality is good. If you are someone you prefers anything under 12 grams of sugar .

I have tried so many different brands of chocolate to melt down to dip strawberries, apples and pretzels and these are absolutley the tastiest. Ghirardelli also sells the chocolate chips in bags but the taste is nothing like this bag of melting wafers. Everytime i make chocolate covered treats with these everyone loves the taste. I dont use a microwave so i just put a bowl on top of a pot of boiling water and mix the wafers with a spoon until they melt. Delicious!!

Tried to use for ganache and I wondered why it wouldn’t thicken properly. I now realize this isn’t real chocolate but chocolate FLAVORED. It tastes great, but this is false advertising.

These are my to go to chocolate flavored melts. They are super easy to melt. I just put them on the microwave on a Pyrex container for about a minute of 50% power and then stir until smooth. They dry quickly, so it's perfect for chocolate covered strawberries. It's clear on the package that it's not just plain dark chocolate or plain milk chocolate, so don't expect flavor to be of that high-quality chocolate. If that's what you are looking for, you need to buy plain chocolate, but for that, you will need more knowledge of how to properly melt chocolate, and that is not an easy task. This is why I go for these, which are easy and more to my level of melting. Don't get me wrong, they still have a wonderful chocolaty taste. I definitely would recommend it.

Yes, they’re somewhat expensive, but at least you won’t waste it like overcooking the other kind. Highly recommend!

These are on the expensive side for candy melts, but they are so yummy they are the only ones I use. It’s hard not to munch on a few when working on a project. I’ve made chocolate frogs, peanut butter cups, and chocolate dipped strawberries and pretzels. You don’t have to temper this like you do real chocolate, so it’s much less fussy. It melts well and stays melted for what seems like a long time. The only issue I have with these is that I’ve had issues with the chocolate separating and leaving a mottled appearance. This happens sometimes if I heat up a second batch in the microwave using the same container without washing it out first. So it’s likely user error. These are still by far my favorite and are worth the extra cost.
