The metal bends and springs back each time you grate, slinging shreds of food everywhere.

We got this for a wedding gift 10 years ago. It JUST broke (and we used it often and are not a gentle household). For the cost, I'm quite impressed. The only reason we aren't buying another (even though I've been thinking about it) is because I want an easier hand held option. You definitely work up some muscles!

very poor quality cheese grater. the cheese flicks off everywhere when shredding since the metal keeps bending.

Works as it should, the handle could have been more rubber than it is but other than that it’s a good item.

I love box grater for the simple fact that it does not make a big mess. The handle on this one is pretty sturdy as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GoodCook - Box Grater is a nice little grater. It is about 6" tall and about 3 1/2"x4" at the base. It has a plastic handle to hold it by the has a really tight fit.

I can't even tell you how many times I've almost cut or did cut my fingers while using my handheld grater this past month or so. I have trouble with grip, so this box grater has been a game changer. I am now able to safely grate foods without the fear of getting things unaligned and cutting myself. The grates on this are sharp, and I'm able to effortlessly prepare foods. The placement of the different sizes are in the perfect spots, making everything easier. I should have gotten one of these sooner!

This makes quick and easy work of shredding vegetables like cabbage for cole slaw and carrots for carrot cake. While this takes up more drawer space, it is useful enough to make it worth while.

It catches everything you've grated inside of it because it is enclosed. It has multiple different sizes, and it has the option to slice the cheese also. It certainly has saved me money from buying packaged shredded cheese, because it is so much easier to use. It's sturdy, metal, and easy to wash and clean. Truly and amazing product.
