The blender is either defect or extreme poor quality. I purchased it as a gift for my mother. She has started to use it early January 2024, as it was a Christmas gift. She makes salsa and smoothies often. The blender always gets stuck and the engine starts to burn out. It is not able to blend a tomatoes, garlic or let alone a piece of onion. It doesn’t matter if the tomato is cut into pieces or cooked. She has tried avocado in the blender and it fails. It leaves the engine spinning and food never blends. It was a complete wast of money.

Exactly what I wanted
I bought this blender for daily mixing fruit drinks and protein powder and milk. I have a heavy duty Ninja blender however this Hamilton Beach model will get more usage in my daily liquid nutritional supplement to my regular meals.

It's Exactly What I Wanted
I received my blender July 26. Thus far, I have operated the blender once to puree black beans, etc. for Brazilian Black Bean soup. It worked like a charm; providing me with a smoothly, delicious pureed soup. I'm rating it 5 stars.

Horrible for smoothies!!!
would not catch the frozen chunks of bananas and I had to constantly mix and press bananas down. it ended up beginning to melt and I still have a few larger pieces of frozen banana!

Dont!! Garbage.
It wouldn’t blend fruit, yogurt and ice. I had to stop and stir, constantly. It was only blending for a very short, pulses of (reasonable) time, first time out of the box-and it started smoking! I unplugged it and it was permanently dead. Don’t waste your $$ Get a real blender with power and a decent motor.

I couldn't even get avocado blended into a smooth puree with this thing. It definitely won't work for baby food prep. It made chunky smoothies too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender worked great for me blending frozen fruits at low speed without any difficulties and the result was a creamy and delicious shake, much better than my previous blender where I only achieved this by adding more liquid. It does not generate much noise, it has a nice finish and it looks very resistant, the glass jar is shorter but wider than the previous one so it has a good capacity for 40oz and has 14 blending functions, the only thing that seemed wrong to me The material of the lid was finished but it did not represent any problem since it closes well and has an opening that seems to fulfill the function of releasing heat when necessary. I am very happy with my new blender that now matches the rest of my appliances.
