A: Thank you for your question. The crocks are microwave, oven and dishwasher safe. Do not use on stovetop.
This would be a five star review if not for the fact that the lettering is coming off of the "CANCEL" button. The ink is just dissolving into nothing. The unit has never been washed with anything other than a damp cloth. And that was rare as no food ever gets on the button area. All other functionality is great. Hamilton Beach, is there a fix for this??

The Best Slow cooker I have ever owned.
I have owned quite a few slow cookers through the years, including two brands of the "multi-pots". All of my previous slow cookers were too hot, and the food always ended up overcooked and dry, The multi cookers cooked too low on the slow cook settings.... one of them I was afraid to eat the food for fear of food poisioning! This Hamilton Beach unit solved all of that with the meat thermometer. My first time using it was on thanksgiving... and our turkey was so juicy and tender! Perfect.... and didn't tie up my oven! Since then I have used it on many different dishes, all have been perfect. I wouln't trade it for any other cooker... period.

Excellent Slow Cooker
When I add a new item to our kitchen I check American Test Kitchen for recommendations since they thoroughly put models through many more vigorous tests than I could before choosing a winner. This Hamilton Beach slow cooker was rated best overall traditional slow cooker and after using I see why. The controls are so easy and the options are the best on any slow cooker I've seen. I like any cooking equipment with a temperature probe and this one was very easy to use since there are multiple places to insert the thermometer. The locking lid with seal is a great design. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this cooker.

Makes a Great Roast
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cooked an awesome roast in this slow cooker and knew exactly when it was ready due to the temperature probe. Awesome feature that takes the guesswork out of cooking a roast. I also love the clips that keep the lid in place when transporting food in the slow cooker. Those clips were a blessing when I took a full batch of mulled wine to a party.

Really Fast Slowcooker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great slowcooker! I used a recipe for a sirloin tip roast, that said it would take 8 hours to cook a 4 - 5 lb roast. This was not the case! The roast, cooked using the temperature probe, was cooked in half that time! The roast was tender and juicy and vegetables cooked perfectly, just be sure to put the vegetables in at the start. The unit cleans up very easily. The lid has 3 holes to insert the probe, when cooking using internal temp. One note, when the probe is removed during cooking, you will have to restart the program. The lid on the unit maintains a great seal and uses two clamps, one at each end. the unit has a very modern design and the stainless steel outer covering fits in any decor! I believe this to be a great appliance for anyone looking to replace an existing slowcooker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to unbox this new Temp Tracker slow cooker! I've always wished I could have a slow cooker that would know when to turn itself off, not just because it had cooked for the allotted time, but because my food was perfectly done. Lo and behold....here is what I've been hoping for! It is so nice to have the temp probe for cooking. When food reaches the desired temp, the cooker can hold it at that temp or hold at pre-set warm temp. No more coming home an hour later than you'd planned to chicken that has become slurry. Integrated probe ports on the lid mean you don't even have to lift the lid and lose your heat. Just insert into the port and you're good to go. The probe can even be used at any time for a quick read if you're doing other styles of cooking in it. I'm especially excited to try the sous vide feature on this cooker. Supposedly, restaurants use this method to ensure perfect results. I look forward to those results in my own kitchen where it won't cost me an arm and a leg to do so! I'm not a yogurt making fan. Yet. This machine has the capability to do that too. Who knows, maybe I will branch out into something new. The beauty of it is, I can try it without buying another appliance because it's already built in to this one! This cooker is a good fit for me because it does an excellent job with a method of cooking I already understand, and it offers me a little room to grow and expand my cooking comfort zone too. Give it a try, I think you'll be as happy with it as I am.

I also cooked a pot roast with the hold temp feature and it also came out delicious and tender. This is an excellent product to ensure food is cooked to a proper temperature.

I do like the better control over the timer to set when cooking, so much better than my other one. I also enjoy having the locking lid for carrying if you are helping out with a potluck meal. I would definitely recommend this product. I did have a small hot spot towards the back that burned my food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box I was pleased with the size and design of this unit. Make no mistake, this is a big slowcooker that will work well for family meals or social occasions that involve you bringing a hot dish to share. While the unit is attractive, what matters far more to me is that the handles and locking lid make it easy and safe to move when full. As someone who still recalls the catastrophic spills that often occurred with slowcookers of yore, the more secure lid and handles are a dream come true. Looking beyond first impressions, the next thing I discovered about this unit was that it does way more than I expected it to. While I haven't tried every feature out yet, I'm looking forward to discovering how well it works for things like sous vide cooking and yogurt making. If there was one thing I would add to this cooker, it would be some sort of attached lid cradle. However, that's not really a flaw so much as something I wish they'd add to future models. Overall this is a pretty great slow cooker that I expect to get a lot of use out of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using slow cookers for decades, there is nothing quite like putting a roast or chicken and vegatables in the pot, putting on the lid, turning the pot on and forgetting about it for 6-8 hours. This model with its digital display, temperature probe and locking lid is just a step above. The Slowcooker is easy to use, easy to clean and produced a wonderful roast on its first try. Highly recommended.

Not only can I track the temp while making a roast but I can make yogurt! I don't have to worry about using a pressure cooker or continually checking the temp. I also like that there are 4 different holes to place the temp probe making it easier to check the temp on what I am cooking. The size of the pot is larger than other slow cookers I have had and it is very easy to use. I am loving this slow cooker and will be using it a lot. I would recommend the Hamilton Beach Temp Tracker™ 6 Quart Slow Cooker to all my friends and family.
