Q: This came with an oval shaped rubber piece. I assumed it went on the edge of the lid but it does not fit and it definitely is not for holding the lid shut because it isn't big enough for that.

Loved til I didn't
I bought this because we raise our own beef and roast are usually BIG. It was great til used it the second time and my crock split right down the middle. I am very disappointed this was supposed to last, at least I thought it would. Now I am looking for replacement and nope can't get that either. Definitely a waste for only 2 uses.

Dead at just over 18 months of owning it.
I love the big size of the crockpot, but the lid isn't vented at all and that makes a huge mess when you're cooking a large pork roast and it heats up to the point where the lid pops up as juices pop out from the pressure. And, I bought mine on 09/24/2024...today, 04/23/2026...it's dead...will not heat up and out of warranty, so I would not recommend this product. I have never had a crock pot die...my mom still has hers from the late 70s and it's still going...so, I expected more than less than 2 years for what I paid.

Shattered Lid
I have used my 10quart crockpot only 5 times. I thought it was wonderful however this morning I was making oxtail soup and the crockpot was on when my husband heard a pop and went to investigate. The glass lid was completely shattered! Why would this happen? Had to throw out over $40 in oxtails! I feel like even if I buy a replacement lid can I trust this crockpot ever again?
