Not what it used to be
This curling iron used to be the absolute best and most reliable OG. Lasted for years & years! Unfortunately they don’t make em like they used to and it seems the quality has really gone down. The clamp isn’t smooth, the gold plating is uneven and patchy like some others mentioned. Just not what it used to be smh

I've wanted one of these Hot Tool curling irons ever since I can remember. I asked for this one for Christmas, which my husband promptly purchased. Since opening my gift I have probably used this a handful of times, ( I don't curl my hair often). To my major disappointment the springy thumb clip has already been causing problems. It won't snap back down. It just wants to stay open. Its basically useless to me now. I thought this brand was better quality than most, guess I was mistaken.

Quality has went down. I’ve owned this brand before. The gold finish wasn’t even. There were black holes where it looked like it bubbled and the gold finish didn’t cover so it gave it slight texture. The curling iron didn’t make good curls that held up.
