A: Hello dasarp, You can use your Hubble camera with the HubbleClub app and your mobile device as an Audio Baby Monitor. If you wish to continue to hear the audio from the camera even when your phone goes into sleep mode or when using a different app, you need to activate this feature: If you're using an iOS device: 1. Open the HubbleClub app and go to your Account section in the bottom right corner. 2. Choose Application settings. 3. Select 'Background monitoring' and toggle to activate it. 4. Go to the live view of your camera (if you have several cameras select the camera from which you want to hear the audio). 5. Then close your app by tapping on the HOME button or just closing the app if your iOS device does not have HOME button. If you're using an Android device: 1. Open the HubbleClub app on your Android device and go to the Account Section. 2. Choose Application Settings. 3. Toggle Background monitoring to activate it. 4. Go to the live streaming of your camera (if you have several cameras select that camera of which you want to hear the audio). 5. Then close your app by pressing on the HOME button. (Please, note that using the BACK button to leave the app does not activate background monitoring.) Now you can listen to the audio from your camera as the app is running in the background. Just make sure not to log out of the app. If you have more questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly via LiveChat or email. Our contacts can be found in the quick start guide or you can find us at: https://support.hubbleconnected.com/. Kind regards, Crystal & the Hubble Connected Team.
A: Hello Lisette, I'm sorry to hear you've had issues setting up your camera. Please reset the camera: with the baby unit plugged in, turn it off or unplug it. Press and hold the pair button while turning it on or plugging in. Continue to hold the Pair button until a long beep is heard. This may take up to 30 seconds. And then please try to set the camera up with the app again. Please make sure you have downloaded the correct app, the Hubble Club app. Please check the camera's position. The mobile device should not be very close to the camera. It should have a 15-30 cm distance ideally. It is possible that the camera is not able to focus. Please make sure to keep the mobile device steady and not shake/move it. Make sure you have good lighting conditions in the room. Set the brightness level of your phone is set to the optimum level. (You can re-adjust the brightness level to the original level once setup is done). Make sure there are no special characters in Wi-Fi network name and password. If you use the camera in combination with the handheld, please turn off the handheld during setup (as it may interfere). If you use a dual-band router you'd need it to connect to the 2.4GHz band. The Hubble camera cannot connect when it's set to 5GHz. Please note that during the WiFI setup process (if you choose it) when you select Hubble camera under WiFi settings you may see 'Internet is not available' (for Android) and 'Unsecure Network' message (for iOS). This is normal behavior. Please just continue and ignore this message. If for some reason setup using QR code did not work, you can try setting up the camera with WI-FI: iOS steps: 1. Tap on Try with WiFi setup. 2. Go to Phone Settings and select camera SSID. 3. Return to the app to resume setup. 4. The camera should be detected. 5. Select your Wi-Fi network. 6. Enter Wi-Fi network password. 7. Wait for some time for the camera to complete the setup. 8. Name your device and press on Start Viewing the stream. Android steps: 1. Tap on Try with WiFi setup. 2. Select the detected device. 3. Wait for some time for the device to be detected. 4. Select your Wi-Fi network. 5. Enter Wi-Fi network password. 6. Wait for some time for the camera to complete the setup. 7. Name your device and press on Start Viewing the stream. A: Hello Hanforb, Usually, a new battery lasts up to 1 to 3 hours. This considering the monitor goes into audio mode only. When the video is kept activated all the time, or you frequently turn it on, the battery will last considerably less. The batteries are designed to be used for short periods only, for instance, when there is no power outlet near. We recommend that the unit is plugged in at night to last the whole period. If you have more questions about this product, please feel free to reach out to us directly via LiveChat or email Kind regards, Crystal & the Hubble Connected Team.
