Having dealt with pretty significant health issues in one of my male tabbies previously, I am very cautious about food choices. My vet recommended that I always choose a urinary tract formula for preventative measures. Initially, I bought a very expensive variety through my vet’s office. But ultimately, for financial reasons, I settled on Iams as a middle ground. My cats love it, and so far it has kept everyone healthy. I would suggest this food for anyone who has dealt with medical issues in their animals.

I ordered this on line and didn’t notice the expiration date until my cat threw up and wasn’t her normal energetic self for a few days, not wanting to eat this particular bag of food. The store should check their products and remove from shelves when products expire. I have used same product for 3 years and never had a problem. I will continue to use Iams but will purchase elsewhere.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to for this. My cat gets UTI’s and crystals pretty frequently but is very picky. We had her on the purina one tender selects blend but then tried the purina one urinary food. She barely ate that food so then we switched to this iams one. She likes it just as much as the purina one (non-urinary) food and so does our second cat with no urinary problems. So it’s a win in this house, and she hasn’t had any urinary problems since! It’s only been ~2 months but so far so good :)
A must have for my cats.

I have two cats that I feed this cat food to. One is an older cat who has the early stages of Kidney Diease and wont eat the specialty food that the vet wanted her to have. The other cat prior to getting this food would get urnirnary tract infections every couple of months prior to getting this food. No more wasting money on expensive vet specialty food or even more expensive vet bills from a cat with urninary tract infection. I really hope that Target continues to sell this becuase a lot of stores have stopped.

All 3 of my cats are on this and no more urinary issues for almost 3 years now - so I know it works well and worth the extra expense versus going to the vet for meds

I've been feeding this to my feral colony, at least 15 cats are eating here daily, plus neighbor's cats who prefer this to what they get at home. It is a reasonably priced food and I think keeping these cats as healthy as possible is better for the entire neighborhood. They love this food.

Cats seem to have stopped licking their privates and scooting on things, so I assume this us helping. They also love the taste. Even the finicky cat can't seem to get enough

I was hoping that my cat with bladder issues would be able to keep symptoms at bay with this and that it would prevent issues in the other. I fed them less than tablespoon a day to slowly transition and they both got horrible diarrhea in less than a week. Never had this issue with switching them to new dry foods. They usually take right away with no issues when I give them more natural brands with smaller ingredients lists and less additives. Went on a new dry food after this one and all is fine with even higher amounts of it from the start. Something in the ingredients of this is irritating to cats guts. Not buying any of their products again. Be careful transitioning to this especially if your cats were eating a more natural grain free diet before.

Fatty Patty had been urinating in my hallway and I was told that it could be due to a UTI and pain. My neighbors cat had done the same thing so they replaced their cat food with the Purina One Urinary Tract Health. I tried it for my kitty but she wouldn’t touch it. It’s not going to work if they won’t eat it. I decided to change again and found the IAMS brand urinary tract health which had chicken as the first ingredient. My kitty LOVES it. She doesn’t use the bathroom in my hallway anymore and she seems to be acting more like a kitty than a 6 year old.

Mid-grade cat food - not top of the line but way better nutritionally than many other brands and it does seem to help my cats that are prone to urinary tract issues!

I have been using Iams pro health for urinary tract for the last 2 years with only perfect results. My male cats had gotten kidney stones and crystals which caused urinary blockage and had to have surgery, shots and medication. I fed them the more expensive rx pet food which worked well for a while, but 1 of my baby's got crystals again. This time only a shot was needed and that's when my vet said you should try Iams proactive health that's what he feeds his cats. It was cheaper, easier to get and thought it wouldn't hurt to try a different food at this point. Since then my cats haven't had any problems and as you can see love getting their food delivery. 😆

So far so good. My male cat was diagnosed with urinary crystals and had to be on the expensive royal canin urinary so cat food and with the prices going up ever few months it seems and my cats prescription running out I needed something to do the trick. This seems to be doing really well for him and he really likes the smell and taste. I do add warm/hot water to the kibble to give extra hydration most times but he is still here with me today after 2 years of consistent treatment for his condition. Thank you Iams for helping my baby thrive. He's 10 and much healthier than he was a few years back. Iamstm Proactive Health Urinary Tract Health With Chicken
