It has a gentle lavender scent that isn’t abrasive for long term wear, and still has all the healing properties of the original version. I especially love the no mess roller so I don’t get it on my hands during application!

The only thing was that it took a bit for the product to penetrate into the skin. And while you’re waiting, your skin is left wet and oily. So just be mindful about that when using this product!

My only gripe with it is the smell seems a lot stronger than any other Icy Hot product I have used. The smell is intense just with taking the top off alone.

This is 8% menthol, which is double other products I use for aches and pains. The smell is a nice lavender mint, which I enjoy. I applied it to my knees after 14 hours on my feel, and it immediately reduced the ache nessacary, and 2 minutes in the cooling effect really feels noticeable. I love the packaging it's no mess, just roll on and your set.

The added Lavender and Eucalyptus is a nice touch for relaxing my body and senses at night. Even though it says Nighttime, this is great at any time of the day. The ball in the roll-on moves smoothly, dispensing the right amount needed. I keep this right at my bedside to apply when I go to bed. I really appreciate the roll-on as I'm able to use this anywhere without having to worry about washing my hands. This is so much easier than a tube or pump.

Since it’s a roll on it is mess free and you don’t have to worry about burning sensations on your hands. Even though the package says nighttime recovery, you can use it any time of the day. I typically use it after shower and enjoy the mild pain relief. Since it only contains 8% menthol it’s very mild and soothing and doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s not the best for severe pains but for minor pain relief this is enough. The scent is also very good, it reminds me of baby powder, it’s not a strong typical menthol scent. Overall I’m very satisfied with this product.
