Ingenuity The Doorway 36S Series Custom Collection Safety Pet and Baby Gate - Natural Wood

I am trying to install safety gates on the second level of my extremely typical American 1970's colonial style townhome and I have been unable to get anything of quality that either fits in the bedroom doorways (30" wide) or to extend the stair banister across a gap of 33" to the wall. Nothing fits. I bought these to install them hinge style in two doorways but they only fit 31-32" wide doors. A standard interior door is 30". I already opened both boxes and laid everything out for assembly and now I will be repacking and taping these up. Good luck to whoever buys this junk off the repackage shelf.

You’re not stuck having a stark white gate or an unfinished wood color that clashes with the look of your home. Instead, you can customize it to blend in making it aesthetic and barely even noticeable! It’s over 2 feet tall so it’s the perfect height to do the job and it’s sturdy and well made.

I went with hardware mounted, but it can also be pressure mounted. I really like that the door swings both ways. It makes things so much easier. The gate is very well made and feels stable and secure. I really like it and definitely recommend it.

This gate is very sturdy and reliable. installing this gate was so simple and easy to do. my husband loves how easy it is to open and close. my toddler do not like it because he can not figure out to open it like the previous baby gate. its so pretty love that it comes with extension so we plan on moving it upstairs since the baby is crawling now. Good construction and solid wood .

It’s lightweight and I love the blonde wood base color. It’s got a very minimalist, simple look out of the box. Love how durable and secure this gate is. It was very easy to install. I appreciate that the full gate door swings open in both directions. Love that there is not a trip hazard at the bottom of the gate like you see with some gates. Overall a great basic gate that is stable, secure and nice looking. Highly recommend this baby and dog gate!

The center section rolls out like wooden mattress slats and feels flimsy, especially considering the force a toddler might apply. We pressure mounted ours and it’s very sturdy. It can also be hardware mounted if preferred. We’ve only had it up for a couple weeks but it definitely seems like it will stand up to our 3 kids and dog!

You have the option to hardware mount (hardware included) or pressure mount and the ability to extend the gate from 30 to 36 inches. For now, we have this as-is (no stain or paint) and pressure mounted. It was pretty quick to assemble and install the gate, although I do intend to stain it eventually. The gate is easy to open and operate.

We use it at the top of our stairs and I have had to move it to different doorways depending on where my kids are playing and it is so easy to attach to a new door. There is an extension that lets it adapt to many sized door ways and it swings open completely which I love!
