It is quiet except for when it sucks out the dirt from the roomba. It does great on pet hair . However it does get stuck sometimes and you have to empty the dirt compartment. Over all very satisfied with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first, set up for this was super easy. You set the Roomba to map out the space and away it goes. Once that's done, you can set it to actually vacuum. You can choose 1 or 2 passes and whether it's light, regular or heavy. I did 1 pass at normal to start. It was great!! It moved over the carpet, the tile, and the hardwood with ease. At one point I didn't hear it mapping and it turns out, it was in my husband's office!! It also stopped and turned around at the stairs! I can't wait to use it again. My children were also quite entertained by the vacuum robot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the Roomba Max 705 is a great vacuum robot! It mapped out my living room and kitchen and did a deep clean on both of them. I noticed that the floors in the kitchen look clean and the carpet in the living room is clean and fluffier. The noise level is fine on carpet but a little loud on tile floor. The battery life is fine, the robot will go recharge in the middle of a job if it needs to. I am putting the robot on a schedule to keep my floors clean through the app. The app has some handy features and I enjoy watching the robots cleaning path while it works. My biggest complaint is that it didn’t come with a paper manual and you have to see it on the app. It’s not in the best position to read and I would like a physical copy of the manual, especially when it comes to the steps about cleaning and maintaining the Roomba. I’m very happy with this Roomba! I think it’ll help keep my house cleaner and I will spend less of my own time cleaning!

To start; the room a itself is relatively light, there’s a bumper in the front so the machine doesn’t smash against walls/tables, the feeler brush comes out of the front, the wheels are rubber and have a nice tread so it can handle carpet, and there’s a “home” button and a on/off switch on the top. I found that it did a nice job cleaning my floors, the wood was definitely cleaner post roombaing, than the carpet but I didn’t really expect a deep clean on the carpets. It picks up dirt as well as small bits of paper or the rogue plastic hair tie, with ease. It’s a convenient way to keep my floors clean in between sweeping and deep cleaning. 2 downsides that I think are probably just inherently roomba qualities; the noise is quite loud, I wouldn’t keep this on during a work from home meeting, the sucking sound isn’t as loud as a normal vacuum but louder enough to disturb a quiet moment. The second issue is the time it takes to clean, I have a normal size ranch and it takes about 30min to do a 12x12 room. I will continue to use the roomba and am happy to have one.

Pros: • The Auto-Empty Dock is super convenient. I don’t have to think about emptying the bin for days. • It maps out my home pretty well and doesn’t bump into furniture too hard. • Suction is decent on hardwood and low-pile carpet. Cons: • It tends to miss certain spots, especially in corners or around chair legs. • The noise level is higher than I expected, especially when emptying into the dock. • Battery life is average — sometimes it doesn’t finish the whole house before needing to recharge. • For the price, I expected a bit more polish and consistency. If you’re looking for a basic robot vacuum with a self-emptying bin, this one does the job. But if you’re expecting top-tier performance, you might want to keep looking. I have seen that the floors still have a lot of dust and hair from dogs on it that I need to vacuum again after.
Definitely improved over past models. Works great

This is my third roomba over time and I really like the new max 705 model. It just works as you want it to. I replaced an i7+ model which I loved, and this Max705 is is already better in several ways. First, it is obviously smarter and more confidently navigates around my house. It avoids getting stuck and various obstacles in the rooms better than my past models as well, and does so in very systematic and logical ways. Where as I used to get frustrated watching the room as clean, now I enjoy it and feel like I understand what it is doing. It cleans well and dicks and automatically unloads the debris more efficiently than my old model as well. Overall, this is great and I am happy with the updates. It feels like progress. The vacuum itself is similar size as past models, but now has a slight bump on top (I am guessing for the lidar), but the height of the dock is significantly lower than the i7+, which is welcome. Finally, the initial setup has the unit map your house, like previous models. However this one did the mapping in “minutes” versus past models taking hours or even a few days to map effectively. Definitely is more efficient now. Overall, no complaints, I am really happy with with this Max705 Roomba. Go get one!

I’m surprised by how thorough the cleaning is! I love being able to run it overnight and wake up to a clean house. The automations are super helpful so you can set it and forget it. It’s not overly noisy, so it doesn’t wake me up when it’s running. Overall, a really great product!

I thought Roombas would always do just an ok job. Boy, I’m SHOCKED by how powerful this robot is. I live with my husband and our very sheddy dog. This week, we had family from out of town stay with us. After they left, I set up the Roomba and let it map my home. It didn’t take long at all. It could clearly see it’s way around my home. After it was done, I started the first run. The Roomba cleaned my entire floor of my home on a single charge. It picked up a TON of dog hair from the carpet with ease. The vacuum cleaned the corners very well. It was quiet enough that it didn’t disturb myself or my husband in different rooms as we watched television. My dog wasn’t even bothered by it. You can schedule for it to automatically vacuum when you’re away from the home if you want. You can set it to spot clean easily. After mapping your home, you can go in and add you furniture into your maps to easily keep track of your Roomba. The best feature that I’ve found is that you can set your Roomba to clean certain rooms at any given time. I can clean just my dining room if I need to. Or, I could clean the living room and bedrooms if that’s what I choose to do. Plus, I can set the intensity of the cleaning. From “Smart” clean to “Deep” clean, you have lots of possibilities. I’ve completely fallen in love with my new Roomba.

I’ve owned one of the original Roombas for years — the basic kind you had to manually empty — so I was already familiar with the brand. But this model is on a completely different level. I have two cats, which means I’m constantly dealing with pet hair, litter scatter, and general daily mess. The Max 705 handles all of it with ease. It’s powerful, smart, and most importantly, it actually keeps my floors clean without me having to lift a finger. The auto-empty feature is an absolute game changer. It empties itself into a bag in the base, and I don’t have to think about maintenance for weeks at a time. The smart mapping technology is impressive too — it learns the layout of my home and lets me customize which rooms to clean, when, and how often, all from the app. I can even start it with voice commands through my smart home system. What also stands out is how quiet it is while running. Even with strong suction, it doesn’t disrupt my day. The dual multi-surface rubber brushes are great for picking up pet hair without getting tangled, which was always an issue with my old vacuum. This Roomba truly feels like a personal assistant for my floors. It’s sleek, efficient, and incredibly easy to use. If you’re a pet owner or just someone who wants to take floor cleaning off your to-do list, the Roomba Max 705 is more than worth it. Asking it to clean my floors while I'm away is a great time saver. Being able to pick a specific room, cleaning zone, or 3x3 "spot clean" area means I don't need to worry about the Roomba having issues in an area that isn't ready to be vacuumed. Setup was a breeze. It's nearly ready as soon as it is removed from the box. The fun begins as the Roomba first creates a smart, editable map of the house so it knows where each room is. Then it is basically ready to schedule. Pick days, times, and regions for the vacuum to operate and let it do its thing. It's mostly pretty quiet, especially on carpet or rugs, but it is a bit too noisy on tile for me to ignore it fully at night time when I tried to schedule it as I slept one time. The battery life is impressive, cleaning my large living room and foyer area in the course of an hour and using less than half the battery charge. Cleaning is also easy. The Roomba auto-empties into the docking station, which has a bag that reminds of a classic vacuum. I highly recommend this awesome machine!

The suction and duel rubber brushes leaves the floor spotless. It cleans my entire floor with plenty of battery life left. It’s not extremely noisy. The AI technology helps prevent it from getting stuck under my couches or on dog toys. One of my favorite features is I can have it set to go off each day at the same time and I don’t have to worry about emptying the container each day because it has the AutoEmpty dock. Highly recommend.
