I had high expectations given the price point and the convenience it promises — vacuuming and mopping in one, plus self-cleaning? It sounded like a dream. But in full honesty, my first week with it was frustrating. It didn’t map my house correctly at all. It kept going in circles, missed entire areas, and felt more like a toy than a smart cleaning device. I was genuinely confused how something this expensive could perform like that out of the box. One of the biggest issues I ran into early on was the battery. When it runs low, it doesn’t return to the dock to charge. Instead, it just stops in the middle of the floor and stays there until you manually move it. That completely defeats the purpose of automation, and for a premium product, I expected better. Now to be fair, things did improve after several runs. Once it finally mapped the space properly, it started to behave more like what I originally hoped for. It moves more intentionally, covers areas more thoroughly, and the combo of vacuuming and mopping has been great for light daily maintenance. I especially like how it keeps hard floors looking consistently clean without constant effort on my part. The AutoWash Dock is convenient, but again — only if the robot actually makes it back. The concept is impressive, but in practice, I feel like the software and navigation system still need refining. It has potential, but for this price, I do think the technology should be a little more reliable and polished. In short, the cleaning performance is solid once it’s up and running properly, but the setup experience was frustrating and the battery behavior is disappointing. If you’re tech-savvy and patient, it might work for you. But if you want something that’s truly hands-off from day one, this version might need a few updates before it gets there. This was something I received to try out from influenster and review, and I’m genuinely hoping future updates improve what could be a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I was so excited to receive the Roomba for vacuuming and mopping. The app set up is different than our previous one. It is a bit clunky and mapping was a bit more time consuming although the new LiDar made it easier by not having to run the entire route. The suction seems to be about the same, the mopping feature is for light cleanups, and mapping the route edges took a bit of time. It does go back to the docking station more times than just the vacuum to clean pads. It seems to be the same whether you have more or less messes to cleanup. It is a bit loud moving around the hard wood and tile floors but amazing to watch as it transitions to carpeted areas and then back to hard floors. We have dogs and labs shed daily, so vacuuming daily is a must. There are several errors popping up that require cleaning and/or hair removal but it’s spring. We’re hoping this gets better after shedding season. I do wish it had a manual setting for making a run without using the app. The size of the docking station is larger than our previous one due to solution and dumping mop water, so we had to move this one to a new location. The sensors are finicky, so if it doesn’t like where you put it first, you have to move locations anyway until you find one it likes. Overall, this unit does a good job vacuuming and mopping light messes with minimal interaction required. Using the new app, ferreting out error solutions, learning the “filling up solution - dumping dirty water - ensuring the internal dumping isn’t clogged” routine has a learning curve that takes some time and patience. But, it’s only our first few weeks, so we are hopeful that things will smooth out and that over time, we will find a happy median where we are working together to keep the floors in my house clean. Through all of this, I’m still excited about a robot helping me out with chores. I know there are other similar products out there that are lower and higher priced but Roomba is the OG in this area. I’m rooting for them to tweak here and there where needed and bring us an exceptional product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have some pros and cons for the Roomba 505 plus. First let me start out by saying that I love it but you will need to have the patience to set it up and learn how to use it. my first suggestion is that you make sure to secure all loose items including floor mirrors. Mine appeared to be fine when mapping the room but when it went into clean mode my mirror went crashing. I was upset but it was on me for not securing it. Also I’m technically challenged so it was a bit of a nuisance to have to setup, add another app and get through the learning curve. But with that said I do love the Roomba and it does a great job at cleaning my floors. I like the mapping feature and the ability to schedule by room or the entire floor. I also like that you can add sections to avoid aka my next floor mirror, cords and add furniture placement. The dock automatically empties the dustbin, washes and heat-dries mop pads, and performs self-cleaning cycles, which I think are great features. The battery life is a bit short, it is a bit noisy and the docking station will require more space. I received this product complimentary but all thoughts are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all WOW WOW! The iRobot! Roomba Plus 505 Combo is amazing! First it is visually stunning and so streamlined to be such a powerful machine. When I first used it I was amazed at the cleaning power and how quiet it is. It cleaned the whole top floor of my home which is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a hallway which is a combo of carpet and tile. The second level which is my kitchen and dining room and my office which is all tile and then my recessed living room downstairs which is carpet again and laundry room and bathroom which is tile and then we took it downstairs to the finished basement which is all carpet. It cleaned my whole home and still has plenty of battery left. How it mapped the floor plan and cleaned accordingly and yes it docked itself to clean itself. It was just WOW! I’m in love because I never have to mop or vacuum again. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was excited to test this Roomba, I’ve never had one before. For the price I don’t think it’s worth it. After mapping a small room to clean it told me it needed to charge and the battery was full before I even started it. Also during mapping it missed a lot of areas that didn’t have anything in the way. As far as big objects like a kitchen chair, it literally bumps into it to actually clean around the object. For how expensive this Roomba is i expected better performance. It’s pretty quiet and the idea is cool but i think it’s way overpriced. To note, I didn’t test it on carpet because I have a dog that sheds a lot, only tested on hard floors. The mop feature is convenient but I wouldn’t use it most of the time.

It was fun to watch, but I noticed on the travel ‘map’ after it finished a cleaning that it stayed stuck on a loop…cleaning the same area in a circular pattern for three full minutes. It did ‘self correct’ and continue to another area, but it made me wonder if it was a glitch or?! Another slight issue was the gurgling/sucking noise it made while cleaning…I don’t know if that’s normal or not, but it sounds almost like a clogged hose or line or something…this item has many parts that could wear down and may need replacing, but I was humbled to be able to try it and am still proud to own it despite its little flaws…a very high tech little machine! I recommend this, or any highly reviewed Roomba model if you prefer this type of cleaning to classic upright vacuums. I received this incentivized product in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying thank you to Influenster for letting me try out this product! I will start with the packaging of the device! It was shipped in a box that was well insulated and well packaged! You wouldn’t have to worry about it getting damaged en route to you! Next is the app that you can download to assist with setting up cleaning routines, mapping of rooms, maintenance, etc. The app is fairly decent! From what I’ve seen/used it definitely is useful and it gives you step by step instructions on how to adjust or set up anything that you need. Next is the cleaning aspect! I had my doubts about this product because I thought maybe it was a gimmick but this roomba exceeded all my expectations. I have hardwood flooring and I purposefully let it get dusty, etc and this product did a fantastic job at mopping and vacuuming up ALL the dirt, debris on the floor! I like the fact that it has a sensor on it to prevent it from running into objects and I also like the flashlight feature as well so it can see in the dark. The cons I have is that the unit is definitely loud. My dog is not a fan lol but he’ll just have to get used to it lol. Another is every so often it has trouble finding the dock. When that happens I would have to manually put the vacuum back on its docking station. All in all though I would highly recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setting it up is a breeze. It’s pretty quick and easy and the instructions are great. I would say make sure you plug in the power into the docking station with a little bit of force because it actually was not super easy to plug that in and I thought it was actually broken until I just kind of jammed it in there with a bit of elbow grease. Otherwise, the cleaning capacity is fairly good. I’ve had a room in the past and this one is almost on par with that obviously this one is different because it has the mop the mopping capabilities are decent. I would not call it a mop and bucket style of clean more like a swiffer wet jet style of clean, but that’s OK if all you need for is the maintenance and upkeep mop and not for the deep clean scrubbing mop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, 4 stars because I know it could be better. So I have a different brand robo vacuum mop, which made it helpful to do comparisons. Cons: Honestly, it’s really loud! It also mops my rugs on the edges. Also a little confused that there isn’t soap to add to the cleaning aspect. And the app is helpful but also confusing and I can’t make edits to the map..: or if I can, I haven’t been able to figure out how. Pros: there’s a flashlight in the dark, it gets close to the walls with its kick-out mop head. I like that you can schedule cleaning though! Not sure what the overall maintenance is like yet. The battery life seems to be good as it doesn’t die while cleaning.

This provides a very good cleaning for both vacuuming and the moping feature. It’s easy to set up. The battery lasts a good amount of time as well. I have wanted one of these for a long time and I am thrilled with its performance. It really is worth the buy and you won’t regret it. I can’t believe I went without it all this time. A thousand times yes on this product.

Cleaning Performance: The device has performed satisfactorily in cleaning tasks, particularly in mopping and corner navigation. Overall, I am impressed with its performance and will conduct further testing throughout the week. Notable Feature: The device's exceptionally quiet operation is a significant advantage, as it does not disrupt my pets.

I’m taking off a star, because it does leave steaks on my tiles when it mops. The app sometimes is a little slow but overall it’s easy to schedule. The noise level bothers my family but it doesn’t bother me.

This vaccum takes the floor cleaning out my routines ! I love that I can set it to run at night or when everyone's at work! We names ours moppy mcmopface. I've had other robot vaccums but having to clean themafter every use take the set it and forget it aspect out of having one. With the Roomba 505, it both pad washed and empties its own dust bin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to receive this Roomba in a promotion to test and review. We had just recently installed hardwood flooring in our home and I was thinking of getting one so it was perfect timing. Or so I thought... Let me start by saying I believe I have received a defective product. I followed all of the instructions, (which were not many) set up the app on my phone and proceeded to test it out. The setup was fairly easy, although the first problem was the Roomba would not dock correctly. It has to dock correctly to charge. I tried manually placing it on the dock and it just kept coming out and spinning around. It tries to dock but for some reason it can't get it right. After an hour or so I finally got it to stay in place to charge. After it charged I set it to map the room, and it only did half of the room. My room was clean and clutter free, all other doors closed and nothing in its way. It did somewhat of a cleaning session and when it was done it couldn't dock to empty out the debris and charge. I looked up every possible way to troubleshoot it including factory resetting, rebooting, cleaning the dock points, and relocating the dock but it did not solve the problem. At this point I can no longer get it to charge manually. It powers off and will not stay in the dock to charge. I contacted Roomba support and they had me do the same steps all over again. Still no luck...They would not help me any further because it is a promotional product and is not eligible for a warranty without receipt. There was not much information on this specific product online either. I have tried for the last week to fix it with no success and no help from the manufacturer. I really wanted to like this machine and this brand but at this point I do not recommend it at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an absolute life saver. If you have a child, dog or messy partner you need this in your life. It can map your hole house and avoid obstacles. The Roomba plus 505 also recognizes objects in its way and easily avoids them. Everything can be coordinated from the app: which room you want cleaned, if you want it mopped and vacuumed, deep cleaning, how many passes, how strong you want the suction to be and if you have a sticky mess you can turn on smart scrub and it will be gone in a heartbeat. Roomba plus empties out the dustbin automatically after every cleaning as well as cleans and dries the mop pads. There is literally nothing you need to do other than filling up the clean water tank and emptying the dirty water. It doesn’t get any easier and cleaner than this. Get it now and you will thank yourself later

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this little robot!! You can tell how much work went into having this little robot created. Roomba did a great job mapping out the house. It went under the bed and that’s when I found out it has a LIGHT! This is a quality product! The dock is neat too, it even has a storage space for extra bags and mops! It does a great job! Would I have purchased this without trying it? No. It’s a pricey machine. BUT it’s totally worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The way that I love the Roomba Plus 505 is absurd. This is the greatest vacuum I've ever owned. Our house is predominantly vinyl planking and tile with area rugs. The fact that this thing differentiates the rugs and flooring, especially with the mopping feature, is amazing. We have a corgi, so tumbleweeds have been a part of life. I would have to vacuum every other day just to keep it clean. Now, I don't have to take that time, and it mops! I really love the app. I can create a schedule, by room, by cleaning option, with date and time, and it'll keep me updated. So my house gets clean while I'm at work. It did run into an encounter with a dog toy, but I was alerted, and it didn't affect the function of the cleaner. The only rugs that have been an issue are very high pile fluffy rugs, but those have to be machine washed anyway. I wish I had this 10 years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iRobot Roomba Plus 505 is truly one of a kind. I have young kids and so our floors are continually getting dirty with crumbs, liquids, and dirt dragged in from outside. It’s so hard to keep up with the mess. Now I have help. The combo feature of a vacuum and mop is simply wonderful for this busy mother. I love how the robot has a small brush that extends from the side to sweep up any small crumbs that are lying along the baseboards. As it sweeps, it vacuums them up and follows along with the two scrubbing cylindrical mop heads attached underneath. The robot and its base are super easy to assemble. It does take a bit of time to manually set up though. once the app is downloaded, the robot will do an initial mapping of your house to get an idea of what areas need cleaning. Then from the app, I can choose if I want it to do a certain space, or the whole house. The noise the vacuum makes while it is running is a moderate humming sound, which isn’t disturbing. The only thing that is quite loud is when it is emptying the dust bin. It does need maintenance and cleaning every couple weeks depending on its usage. The only negative thing I have to say is that it’s not good at mopping up tough, stuck on messes. These have to be gone over with a better scrubber. Otherwise, it’s a great addition to our home!

It literally sweeps mops vacuums and then cleans itself. The only work I have to put in is making sure the water is filled for the clean and empty for the dirty and it’s not even that much.
