Unwrapping my JBL encore 2 speaker I found simple kit yet everything I would need. It includes speaker, charging cable and microphone. First I downloaded JBL partybox app which is super easy to use so it was very satisfying experience. Then I dived into speaker on it's own. It has cube format, comfortable handle and knobs for volume and RGB modes. At the back of the speaker, a waterproof cover protects the connections, dedicated area for rechargeable battery. Regarding the battery, it's up to 10 hours of autonomy. included microphone also has its own battery. All sound settings you can manage from the app. The sound from this speaker is very pleasant. To conclude on this speaker. It’s not so small and has a lot under the hood. Overall very happy with this speaker. It will travel with me everywhere 👍

It has IPX4 water resistance so no stress if it's raining or you near water. It's highly portable with build in carrying handle and it lasts over 12 hours on battery with the ring light off which is impressive. This speaker brings well balanced sound and bass which makes experience even better. It supports stereo playback but doesn't have a 360-degree design, so it sounds different depending on your listening angle. As we already have JBL partybox 120 this encore 2 edition will fit our collection nicely. Very happy overall 👍

I’ve been using the JBL Partybox Encore Essential for a while now and honestly, I’m really impressed. For such a compact speaker, it’s super powerful – way more than I expected. I also have the JBL Partybox 120, and to be fair, I can’t hear much difference in sound quality between the two, which is pretty crazy considering the Encore is smaller and easier to move around. One thing I love is how easily it connects to my TV. No hassle, no complicated setup – just works. The battery life is also solid; I’ve had long sessions with it and never had to worry about it dying on me. To be honest, I haven’t found any downsides yet. It just does everything I need: big sound, easy to use, portable, and reliable. Definitely a great speaker if you want party-level sound without dragging around a huge box.

I am absolute blown away by the quality of this speaker. It is so easy to set up. I initially used it in the house to play War of the Worlds and the sound was literally out of this world! Today it was my grand daughter’s birthday party, so I took it along to the hall. They also gad a bouncy castle to play on which was very noisy, however, they were able to hear the music over this. I also played lots of games involving music, so the speaker played a massive part in this. Every adult at the party asked about it, they said they had never heard such good quality coming out of a speaker. I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone.

Love this! The sound quality is really great and the volume is loud! We have really enjoyed learning the app, look and listening to the pre loads sounds and effects. Changing the colours and styles of the lights is great fun when guests are around. It holds it's charge really well and connects to Bluetooth really early just need to download the app. It really is a party in a box. Why only a four star.. at points the bass was a bit tinny, but this could just be the type of music that was being listened too. Apart from that it's a great all round speaker perfect for a charge and go party or even just listening to at home dancing around the kitchen with the family or losing yourself in the music.

This JBL speaker is absolutely fantastic and great for garden parties. You can download the app to your phone and this gives you control over the lights and sound effects. The Bluetooth connection is excellent and always stays connected with no problems at all. The sound quality is very good and even at high levels it’s very clear with no distortion or crackling at all. We go camping quite a lot and take a projector with us and now I can connect this speaker up to the projector which makes it a much better cinema like experience. Overall I would highly recommend this JBL speaker as I believe it offers great value for money.

My first impression was that this is the perfect size and easy to carry wherever I need it. It was easy to set up and was already charged, so I could use it straight away to test. For me, I wanted something that had good sound to use in our garden and travel for when we have social gatherings, and this ticked all the boxes. The lighting system is great for nighttime for a party vibe! The connection to Bluetooth was quick. There are also ports to plug in a microphone and guitar if needed. I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone wanting a sound system with great sound and that isn't too big.

Initially , I had low expectations for the JBL Partybox Encore 2, I envisioned it would be gimmicky but I was impressed with how a compact item could be so useful for either party karaoke, using as a TV soundbar cinematic sounds or music from Spotify. One element, I liked was that you could simply get the device set up in less than 10 minutes, literally plug and play by downloading the app and connecting to the bluetooth. In terms of sonics, the bass is very pronounced, which can be a good thing or a bad depending on how loud the volume is, the good thing is there is no cracks observed in the bass at high volumes. The Mid range is subtle but not as pronounced as the bass and the high range is quite distinct. The form build of the device is compact and easy to carry especially with the adjustable rubber handle that makes it easy on the hand. Overall it's a quality device with great sound but more pronounced bass, the price point is worth it too and I think the addition of the microphone including DJ app features and light show makes it such a great item for entertaining family or friends.

I used this out on our patriot for a bbq. I like the fact it’s fairly lightweight and easy to carry around. The sound is brilliant for its weight and size and the JBL PartyBox app was easy to use and great for customising the lights and effects. I tried the connection of older or more modern JBL products partyplay. I like you guys are allowing to connect to your other JBL Speakers. The water resistance was tested asI left it outside and it rained over night. I just dried it and it was good to go no problems. The battery life is good for its size and weight I know I probably got 6 hours of playing with issues and plugged in its sounds are superb

JBL continue to wow me with there speakers. I was so excited to receive the party box encore and soon as I switched it on I wanted to have a party and a sing song in the garden, on a warm summer's evening. One of the best features I absolutely love is the aura cast as it allows me to link my JBL encore with my JBL party box 120 for a surround sound effect or even having the same music playing in different rooms around the house especially when I'm busy running around doing me chores. The sound quality is amazing and light show effect really cool.. the wireless microphone that comes with it is really nice and gives a crisp sound for a karaoke session with the family. I highly recommend the JBL speaker it's worth every penny and definitely built to last.

If you told me last year that a speaker would become the heart of our family weekends, I wouldn’t have believed you. But that’s exactly what the JBL PartyBox Encore Essential 2 has turned into. It’s not just a speaker but our new tradition. The sound? Ridiculously full-bodied for something this size. I didn’t expect it to feel like music, but the bass actually moves the air without overwhelming the rest. Voices come through sharp and detailed, you notice it especially in acoustic tracks or live performances. I’ve started replaying old favourites just to hear them fresh again. The build is no-nonsense. It looks like it means business, but not in a bulky way. The handle feels secure and actually makes you want to pick it up and take it everywhere and I do. Kitchen, garden, even out front when the neighbours are feeling social. It gets attention. Now about the lighting it’s subtle in daylight, alive after dark. It doesn’t scream “party mode” unless you want it to. It’s more like a quiet invitation to loosen up. One small thing: it only comes with one mic. For us, that’s been the only limitation. Once we got going with karaoke, it was clear that one mic is not enough when everyone wants to sing. That said, it connected instantly and sounded great so we just bought a second one. The battery holds up longer than I expected. I’ve stopped checking the percentage because it hasn’t let me down yet. Pairing is instant, the app is straightforward, and I’ve never had to wrestle with the Bluetooth connection. All in all, this wasn’t just a speaker purchase, it was a mood upgrade. Music feels better now. And whether it’s background sound while we cook or an all-out sing-off with the kids, the Encore 2 is always up for it. Would I buy it again? Without hesitation. Just wish it came with two mics out of the box.

I bought this device as I needed it for karaoke with friends. The built-in Bluetooth mic is the selling point for me. It has a snug holder in the back part of the device, which is a great innovation for its storage. The sound quality is dynamic and high quality, as usual. The design is fantastic, as this is tiny compared to other party boxes, making it easy to carry with a good rubber handle. It is only splashproof, so not ideal for partying in the rain. The battery lasts 15 hours on 50% volume, with 10 hours of playtime for the mic. Overall, I highly recommend this to those who like karaoke, as it comes with the mic; otherwise, this version is the same price as the other party box with higher specs, but the same price.

I took this JBL PartyBox Encore 2 to a couple of picnics and BBQs and honestly, it was just perfect. The sound is loud and clear, and it really fills up the space, even outside. It’s super easy to carry around and the battery lasted all day. What I love most is the mic that comes with it – it’s actually really good! We ended up doing karaoke and had such a laugh. Everyone joined in, and now it’s become a proper favourite at family get-togethers. The lights are a nice touch too, especially when it gets dark. It’s easy to connect and works without any fuss. Honestly, if you’re looking for a fun speaker to take out and about, I’d definitely recommend this one. Total 5 stars from me!

The DJ sound effects were a fun bonus; it would be even better if there were more customisation options in future updates. I also tested the PartyPlay feature with both older and newer JBL speakers, and I love that JBL lets you link multiple devices together — it really enhances the experience. The water resistance is definitely real; I accidentally left it outside overnight in the rain, and after drying it off, it still worked perfectly with no issues. Battery life is solid too. I got around 6 hours at about one-third to half volume, which is great for a speaker this compact. When plugged in, the sound is even more powerful and clear. Overall, I’m really happy with this speaker and think it’s a great addition for parties or outdoor use.

Absolutely amazing sound quality is crystal clear, as a family we’ve had hours of fun with the karaoke and the wireless microphone is great as no wire to trip you over. You can feel the bass when on full volume through your body, if you haven’t purchased 1 it’ should be top of list.
