LOVE LOVE LOVE I keep returning to it time and time again. The only conditioner that works for my fine brown hair that loves to tangle. I use it every wash. . I sometimes alternate with the purple or blue shampoo. Midnight brunette is not the same and does not work.

If you are looking for the original formulation and smell then don’t bother. Smells nothing like the original. This is the midnight one and I bought it because the brilliant brunette also had a formulation and scent change. This product isn’t even good for your hair. I only bought it out of nostalgia. Unfortunately, the product I used growing up is no longer in production. I’ve looked!

I did a drive-up order. When I got home and started putting my items away I noticed how thin this bottle/ tube was. I opened it and the top seal was missing. So somehow or another, I only received 1/4 of the product. Target - where are your cameras?

I used to love this shampoo and conditioner. It had the best smell, like a nutty vanilla or something. It smells like grandmas perfume now. It does make my hair soft but the smell is unbearable.

I’ve used this shampoo on and off for years and it’s a solid one for me to keep coming back to. I have fine to medium hair that’s pretty dense and this shampoo has always left my scalp/hair feeling really clean. But yes it did make my hair look subtly shiny (not as much as L’Oréal Glossing shampoo but there) and it did bring out different color tones in my hair. Before I ever colored my hair, hairstylists would act surprised that it felt like virgin hair because they said it looked professionally colored to them. Solid option!

I just finished both the shampoo and conditioner and I love them both. These products truly standout vs. others . I don’t use it everyday but about once a week and those are always my best hair days, beautiful color, great shine! And silky … ordering again now.

I used this conditioner for the first time about 11 years ago, when I was 14. I used this and the red hair version, too. I liked them then, and I still do now. It's a lightweight yet moisturizing formula that makes my hair smooth and soft and shiny. It might not be my favorite conditioner of all time (although I would put it in my top 10), but it's a reliable formula that seems to have only changed slightly in the past decade, and certainly not for the worse. This is my go-to whenever I only have access to drugstore products or am traveling and want something inexpensive. Good for John Frieda for staying true to a classic formula and not changing it drastically!
