Q: WHEN and how was the formula changed? I used this with my daughter's 35+ years ago and LOVED it! I just bought a new bottle for multiple granddaughters and it "stinks" (I agree) 3 of them said it was stinging their heads. WHAT WAS CHANGED??? PLEASE REPLY!

    Liked that it was packed well in a separate plastic bag (just in case of leak) and shipped with care. Love this product for its excellent use and effectiveness of getting knots out.     Horrible smell

    Recently purchased this product. I tried it since my hair is baby thin. The smell is horrible, and what ever the chemicals you use caused a severe allergic reaction.

    Favourite Detangler

    I used this product for years, i have curly hair and anytime i would use it my hair detangled and didn't get caught on the brush, then when my hair would dry again it wasn't as knotty. I still use it even today and I would totally recommend.

    Not what I expected

    We already use and LOVE Johnson's Kids Shiny & Soft Hair Conditioning Spray and I was expecting same quality or better. Unfortunately this one didn’t work in my daughter’s hair and we also didn’t like the scent (what was a surprise gor us).

    10/10 would recommend

    This works so so good! I have a daughter with curly (fine) hair and a daughter with straight hair and it works wonders for both. We have tried other detangle sprays and this by far is the best one…even spraying a generous amount doesn’t leave their hair with any residue. Hair is soft and easy to style after using.

    Love this stuff!

    This product does exactly what it says it should. It detangles my son’s hair without leaving it greasy. If he has knots in the morning after sleeping, he usually will not let me brush it, but since using this, we haven’t had any issues!

    Works but stinks

    My son has beautiful cute baby soft curly hair, this product worked well to detangle and not cause him knots and pain when i brush them out, but it STINKS. It doesn't leave their hair feeling greasy and when it dries you wouldn't even know you'd used it, but it smells like bug spray. Like STRONG bug spray. It was so bad that after a few days of use I just tossed it out. I'll try another brand.

    Awful scent - like mosquito repellant. Allergies= AVOID

    I purchased this as the Johnson's No More Tears shampoo and the leave-in conditioner have very light scents that fade with use during the day and are gentle enough for children and adults to use without side effects. As someone with allergies and who dislikes scent, I hoped this would follow in the category of light scent and gentle (especially as it's geared toward little kids). It smells AWFUL - like spraying old school mosquito repellant and the scent does not disappear as the hair dries. It caused my nose to run and eyes to itch and burn from the scent. I ended up washing my hair twice to get rid of the smell. Please do not purchase - I can't imagine using this on a child. As an adult it's overpowering and definitely not child-friendly. I'll pay more to use a Paul Mitchell or Aveeno product.

    Moms be aware this spray throws some chemicals after a few seconds of spraying that made me and my baby cough non stop it’s not good cause it’s a product for kids but after this it might be questionable

    Best detangler for fine hair

    I used this as a kid and am glad to use it for my son. Detangles well and doesn’t weigh down hair. Good price compared to other brands. We also use the matching shampoo/conditioner. And we like the lion on the label and call him “Johnson the Lion.” 🦁

    Caused Skin Rashes on my Daughter's Skin!

    Bought this for my daughter, whom is now 14 months old. Today...minutes after I used it in her hair...my husband noticed her ears were both red. She was scratching them. She broke out with rashes on her ears. Looked to be a partial chemical burn. The smell is pleasant. It does soften and detangle her hair. I use to use this on my son. But Johnson keeps going downhill with ruining thier supplies with bad chemicals. I will definitely be throwing this away. Had to switch to Aveeno....and Dove. You disappoint me Johnson.
