If the brewer is in Normal Charging Mode (with the Quiet button off and the fan running), it will continue to draw power to keep the chill chamber fully charged. The brewer is UL-rated for up to 1,520 watts during peak operation. For quieter and more energy-conscious operation, you can press the Quiet button once to reduce fan speed, or press it twice to turn off cooling altogether. We hope this helps!

  • A: Thank you for your question, Chris. The process to descale your K-Brew + Chill coffee maker is listed below. STEP 1: Prepare the Brewer Pour the entire bottle of Keurig® Descaling Solution into an empty water reservoir and remove the water filter from the water reservoir if applicable. Then fill the empty bottle with water and pour into the water reservoir. Do not insert a K-Cup® pod. Place a large mug on the drip tray. STEP 2: Descale the Brewer To activate Descale Mode, begin with the brewer plugged in and powered off, then press and hold the 8oz and 12oz buttons together for 3 seconds. When flashing, press the BREW button to start the descaling process. Once the brew is complete, pour the hot liquid into the sink. Repeat this step until the ADD WATER light illuminates. STEP 3: Fresh Water Rinse Empty and rinse the water reservoir and refill to the max fill line with fresh water. When flashing, press the BREW button to start the rinsing process. Once the brew is complete, pour the hot liquid into the sink. Repeat this step two times until the Descale notification shuts off. The brewer has now exited Descale Mode and will be ready for use. It's definitely an upgrade from a regular Keurig. It's very easy to switch from hot to cold. I love that it indicates how cold it is when I make iced coffee. The iced coffee part can't be used with reusable pods. I use espresso ground coffee and if I used the strong button, and sometimes when I didn't, it would only make 4 ounces regardless of the cup size I chose. This machine also uses a kcup style I have never seen before so if you use reusable pods make sure you have the right kind with 5 holes.

The hot coffee side is perfect, the cold brew fan having to run all the time not so great. I"m concerned the motor will wear out and I'll need to replace the coffee brewer sooner than I'd like. My last Keurig still works except for the 12 oz button. I have a back up but did not expect to need one.

Does a good job. But, needs better directions! Is there a way to clean the bottom nozzles/pins by removing them? Our old one needed tea leaves cleaned out weekly. Is there a way to drain the chiller tank? Is there a way to drain the machine? How much water is retained inside the machine? There’s a lot left unsaid. But it brews good coffee and tea and other stuff. Need better videos. Need better training for your help line people. They seem to be reading from the same instruction booklet I have.

Makes really good iced coffee! We learned the pod has to be the plastic kind and not the eco pod for the cold brew to work. But eco pods work for regular hot brew. It’s a little noisy when it rinses after but that doesn’t bother us because it works so well! Only need a couple ice cubes and no more watered down iced coffee.

Very Disappointed with the coffee maker in making cool coffee! Almost no coffee flavor, more like cool, (Not Cold) water. Needed to brew first with the hot coffee function first, let it cool, then add to ice. Total waste of money for the cooling function that didn't work! Second problem, is the auto cleaning which dumps junk into the base, which needs to be cleaned afterwards. Really poor design!
