Thanks for all the black plastic inside. Just kidding. I was looking for an all metal electric kettle but assumed incorrectly that this would fit the bill. It has an unremovable plastic filter mount, secured by plastic fittings, and plastic pieces in the lid. It'll be returned promptly, still wet from the cleaning. Thanks for nothing, KitchenAid.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a great kettle, looks good esthetically. I love the way it looks like a vintage kettle that you put on the stove with a modern twist. The only thing that would be better if it held more water and that the lid was a little easier to get out without knocking your fingers on the handle.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) A kettle that is actually a kettle. I looked at a lot of kettles that had to many features. I wanted one that boils water and nothing else. I also waned something without a hinged lid as these have broken on me in the past. It is the same a a kettle that you would use on your stove just electric. Only two points to improve. One is the switch is a bit flimsy feels like a weak point that could break. Two is it takes longer to boil than kettles that I have had in the past.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love the look and auto shutoff. Quite classy:-)) Otherwise I am not finding it particularly safe for me. Maybe I'm getting old and forget to slow down but often I want/need to add more water and when taking off the lid I come close to scalding myself. There is no real way to remove the lid without having your hand over the opening. If the handle swivelled some it would be better! (maybe it does but I am not strong enough to do it! LOL) I'm using it for now but looking for something more user friendly for me! I'm sure one of the kids would love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my electic kettle about a month. Things I love about it are, it's appearance, it's total metal kettle parts, it heats water fast! Things I think need improvement: The BIG LABEL on the cord is totally unsightly for such a great looking piece. It's right next to the plug, so it is sticks out like a sore thumb when you walk in the room. So, I removed it. Guess what, the glue you used on the cord to adhere is remained and started sticking to the pot when I moved it back to store or anything else that came near the cord. Had to get some acetone to remove the glue. Just FIX this problem....find a better way. Only other thing I think can be improve is the lid is a little tight fit clearing the handle when there is condensation in the lid.....otherwise you always spill some down the side of the pot or on the counter (can't turn lid upside down before removing from between the handle). I love it, I love the look, definitely recommend it. just fix a few glitches!

The finish is peeling off after just 1.5 years. Other than that works fine, just disappointed in the finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using it daily. I have a family room with a little wet bar and enjoy my tea in the afternoon and evening. It is nice to be able to quickly heat off the water (without a stove or microwave) and enjoy. We have a guest room on that level as well and my guests will surely enjoy making their own tea alongside the Keurig coffee maker.
