Failed within the first 30 seconds… tried to shred some tender smoked chicken and it just stopped, then wouldn’t turn on again. Had the tilt head deluxe model (300W) on hand and it handled it no problem. Also don’t like the design how the bowl locks into place… it’s not easy or intuitive.

Mixer wouldn't power off - safety issues & poor customer service
After light use with simple batters, this mixer suddenly stopped changing speeds and wouldn’t power off unless unplugged — the same malfunction several reviewers have reported. A mixer that cannot be turned off at the switch isn’t just inconvenient; it’s not safe. It forces you to reach toward an active appliance to unplug it while the motor is still spinning, which risks shock or accidental contact with moving parts. For a product costing over $300, that’s unacceptable. KitchenAid’s one-year warranty and response — offering only paid repair or a “discounted” replacement that was simply a public sale — were equally disappointing. Shoppers should be aware of this issue and review the similar reports before purchasing.

dont waste money.2 in less than 10 days stopped working after less than 7 uses combined
This is by far the worst product I have ever purchased. Period . I bought this item on the 9th of October. On the 14th after 4 uses, it wouldn't turn on. I exchanged it on the 18th. On the 19th, after one use, it stopped working again. This is supposed to be a heavy duty motor to mix large batches and so far all I made was pancake batter and cornbread for a family of 4.... I tried to get help from kitchen aid and spent 2 hours on the website only having large appliances as an option. I was so excited to use this and now I'm so over it I don't even want to bother making anything at all.

Worked for less than 5 minutes. Didn’t even get to completely mix one batch of dough. I’ve had my classic for 12 years and had to finish making dough in that one.

Previously used by someone else & returned and sold to me
I bought this mixer during circle week and the mixer I received seemed to be new but upon further inspection, somebody returned their used mixer that had been previously used. I’m extremely disappointed because I bought a new mixer not a refurbished one. Hoping that this does not seem to be an issue for people moving forward. Seems fishy.
