DO NOT BUY.
Similar to all of the other recent reviews, our mixer stopped working the second time it was used. Maybe 10 minutes total... DO NOT PURCHASE. It is criminal that these are still on the shelves at Target. Really unethical...

Buyer beware!
This model has a defective motor. Purchased twice both quit working after minutes of use. Did some research and this is a very common issue with 500 ac motor. So disappointed

Defective mixer
Mixer stopped working after a few uses. Exchanged for another one that stopped working after ONE use. Don’t buy this. Came to write a review and saw all similar reviews. Very disappointed that the manufacturer is still selling mixers they know are defective.

Buy the tilt head instead
If I could do it again, I would buy the tilt-head model. To remove the beater you have to plunge it deeper into the batter because the batter rings up much higher. The dough hook is basically useless — when making tamales I had to switch to the regular beater to mix the masa properly. The lift model also takes up a lot more space than the tilt-head. Many accessories aren’t available for the lift, and some that are available don’t work as well.

It is a permanent appliance on my countertop because it serves my family weekly! From the fluffiest scrambled eggs to pancakes, bread rolls and delicious yorkshires. My kids can’t believe how quickly I can serve up some homemade chewy chocolate chip cookies with this new addition to our kitchen arsenal!

buy an older model please, we’ve exchanged this one and the same issue happened. Works fine the first time but second time you go to use it, it doesn’t work. Got stuck with cupcakes and no frosting lol

Great product but something for everday use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far i would give this product a 3 star. Because i have only used it for a hands full Times. It came with a dough maker which i used the most but was having trouble with the bowl to stand on the nails that it supposed to go on. It kept falling. It wouldnt sit on those nails. The did help me and made my job eaiser of making the dough and the consistency of it was good. It did make jt as i was doing it with my hands. Its just did take a bit time. Overall it is a nice mixer. I am not sure if i would buy it.

Worked great the first 3 times I used it. The fourth time I heard a kind of pop like sound and it quit working completely. Will not turn back on even after checking breakers and testing different outlets. Apparently this mixer has a known defect, which is the motor control board going out on it. Which is very disappointing since this was a Christmas gift from my husband.

Mixer stopped working
My mixer stopped spinning during my 2nd time using it. It won’t even turn on and I tried with different outlets. I purchased this in December 2025. So disappointing. Now I have to haul this big heavy box to drop off for a replacement because Target won’t sent out a replacement until I drop this thing off first.

Doesn't Work
Just like all the other reviews, you get a used product that doesn’t work. If you try to get a replacement, it is also one that was returned because it doesn’t work. They just keep sending out returned mixers that do not work. I got the Agave color.

First of all, this is literally the sturdiest kitchen accessory I now own, it is heavy duty, just lifting it up I can tell it’s going to last forever! It’s super easy to use, and has been such a help with some of the cheesecake filling I have been making lately, as well as pulling chicken for dinner! It does it all! It came with a couple of handy attachments, but there are so many more I’d love to try now that I’ve been using it for a little while now!

Buyer beware--Target is not return-friendly
I can’t seem to get any resolution via the target.com chat or by phone. I purchased this kitchenaid mixer for my daughter for Christmas. It did not work. She wanted the exact color, which was not available near her, so we opted to ship it back and await a replacement. Target received the item 1/6. No communication. Checked the app 1/11 and it said my return was declined. I called to find out why and they told me because the item came from an address that wasn’t mine and to wait 5-7 days for the item to be shipped. 1/14 called to check status and was told that whoever helped me on 1/11 didn’t actually do anything and the 5-7 days started then. Chatted today and they told me another 5-7 days. This is not acceptable. No original item. No replacement item. No refund. How do I reach someone to resolve this? I definitely would not recommend that anyone purchase big-ticket items from Target.
