It stopped working 3-5 minutes into its first use. I will preface this by saying I normally do not write reviews. I bought this as an early Christmas present for myself to make some cookies. I was ecstatic. It was beautiful. The bowl was the perfect size and it was easy to dump ingredients in without making a mess. I started making some chocolate chip cookies and less than 5 minutes in it turned off and stopped working. It wasn't hot, the max speed I used was a 2. I've tried other outlets. I've check breakers. I've given it a rest. Nothing. Upon further research, it seems like the board shorted out and it appears that this is a common issue with the newer models. I am so disappointed. Will sadly be returning.

Not the Kitchenaid of Old
Didn't even run for 5 seconds before dying. Almost immediate loss of power to the motor. NOT an electrical issue in my home, these things are just horribly-built now. Tried calling and chatting with Kitchenaid, never connected with an agent after over half an hour of waiting. Save your money and look elsewhere, this is not the Kitchenaid of old.

stopped working in the first 3 mins of connecting and starting to mix. not out outlets everything is good. but this is an expensive machine and we were pretty disappointed. we didn't even get to make anything.

Loathe the awkward bowl lift design
I "upgraded" to this design nightmare. the top of the mixer does not tilt backwards, so you must lower the bowl and then awkwardly lower the mixing attachment into the basin with the food you are preparing to try and remove the mixing tool- sending food flying or sticking back onto the attachment, and then you can remove the bowl. if the bowl is more than one quarter full , you are going to smash the mixing tool into your food. The bowl, again awkwardly, clips in an out, it does not screw into the base like the other design, another opportunity for a mess. I rarely use mine because it is such a pain. every time I have to dunk the mixing attachment directly into my food basin even with the bowl completely lowered. I dont see how anyone actually likes this design.

Stopped working day 1 of use. Beautiful color went from being so happy to being so sad. Since have noticed reviews of many with same issue therefore didn’t even want to try to replace. I’m not confident in Target return that it was flagged as something does not work, I mentioned but wasn’t clear they were noting that. With so many reported issues they should be pulled from the shelves until manufacturer can determine which may actually work.

Does not work! Known issues and target has not pulled it from the shelves
Do not buy this mixer. It's known for having issues. I ordered it and it Worked for literally one second and then shut off. I had to return it and bought the artisan model instead.
