Q: I just purchased one and the bowl sits tilted down (not level) and the attachments scrape the side of the bowl some, is that normal?

I couldn’t believe the bad reviews and figured this is a KitchenAid it has to work well. And as many of the reviews said mine also died in the first time use. Do not understand how kitchenaid is even selling these they must all be faulty. Don’t buy! Buy a title head one that has better reviews.

Machine stopped working after 5 minutes on first use. There’s something wrong with the newest models around this November - December time frame, but they are still selling them. I would hold off buying this until KitchenAid acknowledges their faulty machines. I contacted KitchenAid and they said they would send a replacement, but it is on back order.

Stopped working within 30 seconds of use doing very light work. I returned it and exchanged it for a new one- same exact thing! So annoying. Definitely will just get my money back and purchase a different brand. My 12 year old artesian still runs great, just wanted something bigger.

Terrible service target
Used the item 1 time, didn’t even get done baking the cake and was making the icing and it died on me. Target wants to refund my money instead of replacing/exchanging my product. Iv had my kitchenaid for 11 days.

Used twice, then it stopped working. Tried different plugs, nothing. Appears that this is a common issue. The bowl is not as easy to attach as previous models.

Stopped working with first use! doesn't deserve even a 1 star! 🚨 PSA for anyone shopping holiday deals! 🚨 I finally broke down and bought myself my FIRST KitchenAid mixer — even picked the perfect color to match my kitchen. I was so excited… until it STOPPED WORKING on the very first use. 😩 I didn’t read the reviews because, well… it’s KitchenAid. You expect quality. But after it died immediately, I went back and actually looked — and there are TONS of recent 1-star reviews saying the exact same thing. Motors dying within seconds, won’t turn back on, multiple defective units in a row… it’s bad. So here’s your heads-up before you waste the money and frustration: 👉 Do NOT buy this model — KitchenAid 5.5qt Bowl Lift Stand Mixer (Agave or any color). It’s going right back to Target. Not even going to bother trying to exchange it. They definitely don’t make them like they used to. 😬 Just sharing so no one else ends up as disappointed as I am!

It stopped working 3-5 minutes into its first use. I will preface this by saying I normally do not write reviews. I bought this as an early Christmas present for myself to make some cookies. I was ecstatic. It was beautiful. The bowl was the perfect size and it was easy to dump ingredients in without making a mess. I started making some chocolate chip cookies and less than 5 minutes in it turned off and stopped working. It wasn't hot, the max speed I used was a 2. I've tried other outlets. I've check breakers. I've given it a rest. Nothing. Upon further research, it seems like the board shorted out and it appears that this is a common issue with the newer models. I am so disappointed. Will sadly be returning.

Not the Kitchenaid of Old
Didn't even run for 5 seconds before dying. Almost immediate loss of power to the motor. NOT an electrical issue in my home, these things are just horribly-built now. Tried calling and chatting with Kitchenaid, never connected with an agent after over half an hour of waiting. Save your money and look elsewhere, this is not the Kitchenaid of old.
