Another dimension
After considerable amount of research on this model, I hit the buy button based on recommendation of a machine that is good for person that have mastered coffee/espresso making and would like a semi automatic machine. Hence abilities to made variable testing within the process of. So far I really enjoy this purchase as opposed to my previous experience with mocha pod although both methods produce different results and are both enjoyable.

Great for steamed milk
I bought this a couple of months ago and have used this many time since then. I like that it has a small footprint and looks nice sitting on the counter. I bought it specifically for being able to steam milk for my hot tea and it does this very well. I cannot speak to how well it makes espresso.

Can't get it to work
Similar to some of the other reviews here, I just simply can't get this machine to work. Every time I turn it on, it just makes a rumbling noise which stops after a few seconds and then it keeps going in that loop every time I press any of the buttons. I have tried resetting the machine by pressing down on the dose button for 3 seconds but that doesn't do anything either. It is simply frustrating. I can't return it as I received as a gift and don't want to bother the person that gifted it to me with all these issues.

I Like Espresso!
I enjoy the Espresso from my all metal KitchenAid Espresso machine! I am able to change the grind by using my KitchenAid Burr Grinder in order to give a different strength by the grind, that I use. I vary the coffee bean roast, and intensity, and at times, I use a flavored syrup to give a ‘variety of life’ to my day. When I was in Italy, the barista gave me a glare, until I put the sugar and cream into my espresso, as that is a local necessity.

Failed after 2.5 years of partial use on weekends. Device leaked everywhere and when I opened the machine up, wires were fully corroded. The machine cannot brew espresso grounds which were from the kitchen aid matching coffee grinder. Had to brew with drip grounds. I wouldn’t buy this again.

Disaster
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Altogether, I went through 4 (four) of these espresso machines. They are very unreliable. One broke down within a month. One did not work right from the start. Fortunately, I could still return them. And the third one was replenished by KitchenAid. I don't think I will trust this brand in the future.

Disappointed.
I am normally a big fan of Kitchen Aid, but this machine was a huge disappointment! Cheap, cheap, cheap!!!! The description states metal body…. That’s a joke! NOTHING like the quality that they are traditionally known for!!! It was a complete waste of money and now I’m stuck with it! 😭 I was very disappointed in Kitchen Aid!

A nice entry level espresso machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like it but I'm new to espresso so I could be drinking swill and not know it. Beens from the coffee isle weren't giving me any creme. I picked up some that were within a month of roasting from a coffee shop and bam... better flavor and creme. I do a 16g dose at setting 68 on the matching KitchenAid grinder. I like that the grinder is made to hold the portafilter. Downside is the "cup heating area" is about worthless and the machine may not be just a tad low on the water temp even at the highest setting... I'm using it about once a day and I'm happy with it. I use a dosing funnel that I 3D printed to prevent grounds from going everywhere while I'm using a WDT. I want to get a bottomless portafilter, puck screens, scale, and maybe a fancy tamper. None of that is needed to make espresso with this machine, but once you go down the rabbit hole of espresso add-ons finding your way into your brain.
