I did target pickup in Topeka and they gave me a box that was ripped open of this. But I love L'Oreal I have dyed my hair so many colors

It is amazing. Mousy brown to gorgeous blonde. Instructions are clear— make sure to mind the times in instructions closely. Saves a ton of money being able to do my own hair at home!! I get a lot of compliments on the color too!!

I’ve used this exact one for years and love it. I’m naturally blonde but my hair has been getting darker as I’ve gotten older. Everyone is amazed that I don’t go to a salon to achieve the platinum color. Saved me thousands of dollars. I personally leave mine in for almost the full hour. I found if I wash even 10 minutes early, it is more yellow than platinum. Everyone’s hair is different though so be sure to do the test strand it recommends.

I'm a natural blonde but frequently lighten up strands here and there. I used to use L'oreal Preference 9.5 and would get great results. Someone back then told me they started with a purple base to ensure minimal brassiness. For some reason, I can't get their products to produce the same results now. I've tried three different items/colors and can't help but wonder if they've changed the basic formula.

This stuff lightened my hair quite a bit and the anti-brass conditioner is nice too!! The picture with my neck turned is the after using the bleach a second time and the second pic with my head down is with my hair wet after using it the first time!

I got 2 of these boxes hoping for it to get as light as it claimed. Not even close. My hair is extremely orange/brassy. The bottom half of my hair was already bleached but since I didn't have the money to get the much needed touch up I decided to do it on my own since it would have fallen into the same color as my bleached hair... I'm super disappointed, I had high hopes for this since my virgin hair was dark and medium brown hair just like in the images shown on the box....

I ran out to pick up 2 more boxes,nice to keep on hand. l ran out the other day, went to pick up two more, but no store in Brantford, had any. I usually use the Feria Absolute Platinum shimmering bleach but I couldn't find it so I used this one instead. I was impressed that it managed to get my hair a shade lighter than the Absolute so that was nice. I've been using Feria for 6 years now so I do have to say it's my favorite line. I have tried other brands but they just aren't for me. If you read the directions and apply the product properly, you're likely to get good results. My hair is naturally medium brown and I have actually bleached black out of my hair with these products. It took 1 process to get to a light but patchy blonde (user error) and 1 to correct the patchiness and get the hyper platinum I wanted. As other reviews have said, I recommend using a mixing bowl instead of the applicator bottle, it's more time efficient. That said, if you're doing just your roots, it's a great applicator. I often cut the tip a little wider to make the product squeeze out easier though. One box DOES have limited coverage so if you have longer hair, I'd recommend purchasing a second box just in case. It all depends on how your hair handles product. It never hurts to have extra on hand for those random days you want to impulsively bleach your hair. I wish I could buy in bulk so that I didn't have to go to the store every time I wanted to change my hair but it probably isn't smart to sell more than 3 boxes at a time.

It did not lighten up to 7 levels it didnt lighten up to even 6 levels. Maybe barely but im left with brassy tones, orangeish, reddish, copper tones. I was expecting my hair to look very similar if not pretty close fo the picture kn the box. And I used 2 boxes because ive got long hair. Im going to have to get another box if not another 2 to make my hair lighter

Overall the lightning system is good . Except ! Please replace the purple conditioner to more gentle hydrating hair conditioner or mask as the current one is too drying with unusual smell that’s not L’Oréal quality .

I already have beautiful light blonde hair. Just needed to touch up my roots since my hair lady moved away. This “platinum” blonde turned my roots orange even when following directions. Don’t waste your time or money.

This didn’t do anything for my hair. I’ve dyed my hair at home in the past and gotten great results -I have used splat before. However with this I didnt get any results. My hair is still the exact same shade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I want to say that I have been using the Extreme Platinum since I was a teenager in high school. I am now 28, almost 29 years old and have 3 children and a husband now. It has been 11-12 years since I first used this bleach. It used to burn my scalp, and now it does not. Read the directions carefully and do your research before trying to bleach your hair. Do NOT use the entire bottle of conditioner right after you bleach your hair, and do NOT let purple shampoo or purple conditioner sit on your hair for long periods of times. Your hair will definitely turn purple if you do. I went to school for cosmetology and this is what I’ve used prior to buying my supplies from a beauty supply store. Pay attention to the time and do NOT leave on longer than recommended, even if your hair or roots are still dark or orange. Your hair will definitely turn orange, purple, silver, blue etc. if you don’t know what you are doing. The only reason I would not use this product, is due to it causing more breakage and frying my ends. My Sally’s L’Oréal bleach does not do that. However, you are not supposed to put bleach ontop of bleach, and that is what causes the fried ends and breakage. If your scalp or skin starts to burn, rinse immediately! Do not leave it on. If you aren’t willing to take the risk, if you aren’t experienced, do NOT bleach or color your hair yourself. Go to a professional and let them do it, so you don’t ruin your hair. I’ve paid hundreds to let a professional do my hair and did not have any breakage. I know that box colors and bleached are a “No no” but I just started using it again after 5 years of living in Japan and not having it available. Once your hair is bleached, it will hold onto the purple or blue in the purple shampoos and conditioners. Do NOT use purple shampoo until after 6 weeks of toning your hair. (If you tone it.) It is not recommended to bleach hair that is very dark or black in one setting. This will damage your hair if you don’t know what you are doing. My hair is naturally blonde, but I like it lighter than my natural hair color. It does not take long to get the platinum result I want. I’ve never had issues using this product and I’ve been using it since 2010-2011. It is very strong bleach, so be careful.

I used to go blonde all the time, but i stopped dying it altogether until i was able to get it virgin again. I’d dyed it a couple times since the big chop, but this was the only time i put bleach on my hair. I left if it for half the time it recommended just on my ends and it completely fried my hair. I had to cut more off of my already short hair and no matter what masks or product i use it feels like straw. I am disappointed.
