Q: What are the mechanics of how this gravity water dispenser works: What dog behavior causes water to be dispensed and stopped? Is overflow prevented in any way? Thanks!
A: Hi Pupcorn - This automatic waterer is great to ensure your pet doesn't have to go thirsty even when you're not home to replenish their water bowl! The water will always fill to a certain height on the bowl. As water is removed from the bowl, it refills to the point. This also prevents the bowl from overfilling. submitted byGP - 2 years agoA: I've been using this for over a year and it's great. No leaking whatsoever. No more worrying that my girls gonna run outta water while at work or running errands. The only issue ive ever had is that if you dont leave some room in the tank it creates a vacuum or something that won't let water out. I fill mine to just above the sticker and it's perfect and lasts all day and then some. My girl has cushings so she drinks alot of water and has never ran out. It has never overflowed because it lets out only enough water to fill the bowl.

Q: Really hard to get the cap off. If there a trick or easy way? Returning it if not.
A: Push the "button" on top and release pressure before you twist the lid off to fill the tank with water.

The base/bowl is wide enough for large dogs but also sits low enough that small dogs have no problem drinking out of it. My sister's cat drinks from it when they come over and my dog is 90lbs so the design of the bowl makes it suitable for any size animal.

A: Hello PMcMillen - You can remove the jug and cap from the plastic collar. Remove the cap from the bottle and dill with water. Replace the cap, and place the jug back onto the collar, by aligning the hole, and rocking into place until a click is heard. Thanks for reaching out to us. - Stacy
