Completely changed (in a bad way)
I loved these to apply foundation but like many others have said they changed the formula. I knew the instant I went to apply my make up it felt totally different and didn’t glide over my skin like in the past. The change also results in the pads absorbing most of the product onto the round rather than your face. Please bring back the old ones!!!

I have purchased these for years, but the material and feel of the sponges has changed. They are no longer usable. Bought a second package in hopes it was a one off. Please return to original formula.

Inconsistent thicker rounds, now won't fit powder compact
I just went to replace the cosmetic round tonight in my Maybelline Fit Me Powder and the Up & up cosmetic round I pulled off the "sheet" of rounds did not fit. I have used these Up & Up rounds for the Fit Me powder compact for many years and tonight was the first time that the compact lid would NOT close. I thought it was odd and pulled off another Up & Up cosmetic round from the SAME "sheet" and then the compact was able to close. I compared the two cosmetic rounds and noticed that they were different thicknesses! The round on the left is the one that fit, the round on the right is the wasted round that did not fit (photo 2). The first sheet of 6 rounds all fit in the same powder compact without a problem. I still have another package of unopened Up & Up cosmetic rounds so I became worried. I looked at the unopened package (on the right in photo 1) and ALL the cosmetic rounds were even THICKER than the one that just didn't fit. I now have at least one round in the current package that is unusable and a whole unopened package that will be completely unusable. Photo 3 shows the round that fits for thickness comparison to the unopened thicker rounds that do not fit. I am so upset at the sloppy and inconsistent manufacturing of the rounds from the same sheet/same package, as well as inconsistency across different batches/packages! The dates of both packages were from 2024 and I see that the online photo of the item depicts new packaging, so I'm not sure if they have been redesigned to be of the new thicker thickness or if this was just poor quality control. Be warned if you use this for compact powders that they will not fit. I do not use them any other way so I lost money on these, not noticing the varying thicknesses...and really, who would examine an item so closely after purchasing an item so many times for years? Very disappointed to need to find replacement rounds elsewhere.

Recent change in what they use to make these
I have purchased these for years for powder foundation. I always had a few around. They changed the material they are made with sometime in the last year and the new ones are garbage. They are rubbery and not good for powder application. They have to go back to the original material or I won’t buy them again.

Warning: Allergic Reaction [rash & acrylates]
I experienced the worst rash on my face from using these. Then researched it more: Some individuals can be allergic to polyurethane foam, which is often used in makeup pads. Symptoms may include skin irritation, rashes, or respiratory issues, I'm severely allergic to Acrylates & apparently acrylates can be present in polyurethane foam makeup pads, as they are often used in various cosmetic products for their adhesive and film-forming properties. 👎

These are crap
Zero stars. I have been using them for years, and have loved them but they must have changed their formula to something very cheap garbage. They are ineffective, unusable. I don't know what I can use now. Why did they change the formula? I noticed they removed "Professional grade" off the cover of their formula. It used to say "professional grade, hypoallergenic made without latex". Now it is no longer sold as "professional. Do not buy. Target, please let me know when you bring the old version back

Different Material and Ineffective
The material is different and ineffective with liquid or powder makeup. Hopefully, they will go back to the previous material.

Please bring back the old version!
I've been buying these for years and they used to be the best ones out there. I keep buying them, hoping they will have figured out they need to change them back, but I'm always disappointed. They're terrible now, and you must use 3 times the makeup to get full coverage.

Waste of money
Awful. I can’t even get the makeup from the sponge to my face. The old version was so much better.

Great disposable makeup sponges
These are the best sponge makeup applicators that I have found. They are good for applying liquid foundation for a natural look.

What happened to our old sponges?! These new ones are TERRIBLE on the skin. The old ones worked soooo well. Please bring back the old materials. I cannot use these awful rough slick ones.

Soaks up Liquid Foundation
These are not the same as they used to be. They just soak up the foundation now and barely any gets on your face. So disappointing because these are the only ones I used that actually worked well.

Rubberband material
Let me start off by saying that I've been using these for years. They changed the material. If you like applying makeup with a ribberband, you will like these. Please bring back the old material. These are garbage. They feel like rubber, rather than a sponge, and they don't apply make-up well at all. Steer clear!

Is there any old ones any where??
Is there any old ones anywhere like I could buy?? In a discontine bin or something? These were so much better that the new ones. I bought the new one's thing yes they are back and returned them. They are sticky, plasticy and terrible to take your make up off with or put your make up on with . I want the old one's back with the material that they were made of . I will seriously buy any you have left over.

Not the same-but I found a suitable substitute
Those looking for the old version of the Up&Up cosmetic sponges that were made in Canada: look for the Swisspers brand of cosmetic rounds-I found them at Wal-Mart. The Swisspers are smaller, but they are made in Canada and are the same material as the old version of these, as of July 2024.
