I no longer dread pressing my quilting projects!

I am a hobby quilter and have been using the most recommended and best rated standard irons. I found that my seams NEVER stayed flat…slowly that would begin to stand up, I became more frustrated due to the amount of effort put into my ironing the pieces, units and quilts. I noticed the TOP quilters I followed on YouTube switching over to the Laurastar about 2 yrs ago, I became more and more curious and interested. I trust the opinions of these top quilters. After overcoming the cost compared to standard irons …I purchased the Laurastar Lift Titan. I love it!!! Pressing my work is no longer a dread…I now am thrilled to press …I love the way my work looks!

I love my LauraStar. I use it to block my crochet and the dry steam makes it so fast. I no longer have to wait hours or even days for my blocked items to dry.

I’ve had my Lift Xtra for a few weeks now and so far I’m happy with the item. I’m a quilter as well as someone who regularly irons and steams clothing items. The Lift Xtra has been great to use when pressing my quilt squares. I used to feel like I was burning my fingertips from the steam of my old iron. With my Lift, even when I accidentally hit the steam button when my hand was right in front of the iron, it didn’t burn me. With my old iron that steam definitely would’ve left a mark. The Lift Xtra has also been steaming my regular laundry items well, better than my cheap steamer I’ve been relying on. The cord is heavy and seems quite stiff, but now that it’s been unwrapped from the base unit and getting regular use it seems to be more pliable.

I purchase this less than a month ago and after having owned 3 + irons from different brands, this one suits my needs the best. Value for money it is worth its weight and does all that it promises. I was tired of the other brands eventually spitting water, or having to not use water in the iron or have it clog. Or even the occasional time, I've burned my finger tips. I'm an avid textile artist and have taught many hand stitching workshops in the USA, Canada, and Switzerland.Value for money, Laurastar is what I plan to use for many many years to come. More pleasing to me is the customer service department who answers the phone. The person who helped me followed my tracking for me and texted me when the machine was dispatched to me-this is because I was going out of town and was concerned about not being home when the box arrived. WOW. Customer service and a stellar product...who knew?

I'm loving the new Laurastar Iron. It's much lighter than my previous tank iron, has a good amount of steam.

Game Changer

I thought I had a really good steam iron. Now I know I have a great steam iron. The ability to add additional water while the iron is on is a game changer for me. The weight of the iron is lite and the steam cable is long. I don't mind ironing now. My old habit of putting the iron on the "heel" when finishing one garment and starting another has taken a moment to break. Placing the entire iron on the mat is easy just an adjustment to my old habit. I believe my ironing time has been reduced and that is my justification for the purchase price.

Truthfully, I thought the Laurastar would be better than it actually is. The reviews are so strong, but I am finding that it is not much better than my previous iron. A few hits of the steam button for bursts sends it back into "fill mode" so that capacity for steam that I thought I was going to get is actually less than other irons I have used. The level of heat that I am getting also does not lessen wrinkles in a single, double or even triple pass. Constant passes must be made to get the wrinkles out. Perhaps the iron only works as shown when you are paired with the smart iron board, but I was lead to believe I would see a really amazing difference even using my regular ironing board. Either my Laurastar is faulty or the hype is just hype. A lot of money for what most other irons do at their lower pricetag.
