[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so bummed out that my Lego yacht is missing pieces. 😭 I was really excited about building this Lego masterpiece but I quickly realized that it's missing some pieces and I cannot go forward without them. So much excitement wasted!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Emirates team New Zealand yacht was so cool. My son loved building this 962 piece Lego set. He built it all in one day now I highly recommend this will buy again.

I'm a fan of the America's Cup, as well as Pete and the rest of the ETNZ crew so when this set was introduced it was a no-brainer purchase. The build was very enjoyable, and while some of the steps were a little challenging (big fingers, small parts?) I don't really have any complaints. I'm still playing with the sail trimming functions and the pneumatic foil cant system despite this being a display set. Still brings a smile to my face seeing the cyclor positions faithfully reproduced. Rapidly running out of room for my sets; if Lego keeps this up I'm going to have some tough decisions to make!

The set was really fun to build. The build was complex and interesting. All of the functions work as they should. I saw a review on here where someone said the switches to the pneumatics are hidden once you build it and it's inaccessible. You don't access the switches on the pneumatics you use the red pieces at the bottom of the stand to flip the switches.

Pneumatics?

I follow sailboat racing, so was excited for this. The build was fun, but I am extremely confused about the use of pneumatics here, as the valve switches are completely inaccessible once finished. I've gone through the instructions several times and have no random leftover parts. Are they included simply as a "hidden" feature? If so, that's a needless price inflation, and false advertising. There's even a picture on the box showing the foil arms actuating. Lego, if you're listening, please provide an explanation because currently I am extraordinarily disappointed in the final result of this build.

Thanks for taking time to leave a review and share your experience. The pneumatic tubes in the set are functional and will pump up the hydrofoil cant arms. To activate, use the crank completed on step 38 and turn the red switch installed on step 27. You'll see the cant arms raise and drop. If you have any issues or need troubleshooting assistance, please reach out at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can help out!

I am especially pleased to see a set of this caliber that deals with a non-ICE machine. Building the set could lead to an interest in green technology or to participation in a sport. Well done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you for adding yacht to Technic collection. It’s a gift for my son who loves Technic but got bored with options to choose from - usually different type of cars. As a family that spends lots of time in the ocean on our sailboat, this is a perfect fit for my son. He is turning 12 and it should really challenge him to get it in one day !
So much fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely not for the faint of heart. If you like challenging Lego’s this is definitely one of them but it is so much fun to put together. The pieces are very small so if you have little children, I definitely recommend keeping it out of reach.

Hi all, This Technic set stands out as the most impressive I have assembled in recent times, offering a satisfactory level of challenge. Given its considerable size, it is advisable to plan for an appropriate display space, as it has become a notable highlight within my collection. For the first time, I utilized the Lego builder app to construct this complex set, which significantly enhanced the building experience. The app's features, such as the ability to zoom and rotate the model, proved invaluable, particularly for deciphering intricate build steps that would have been difficult to interpret using traditional paper instructions. However, there are a few drawbacks to note. The jib/bow cover sheet arrived bent, resulting in noticeable folds that detract from the overall appearance. Additionally, the Omega name being printed in reverse on the port side is a disappointing oversight in quality control from Lego. It is recommended to conduct a test of the pneumatics upon completing the second bag of pieces to ensure everything is functioning correctly. In conclusion, despite a couple of issues, my satisfaction with this set remains high.
Beautiful looking and interesting to build

I loved every step of the building. Very clever, at time surprising (in a cool way) and quite clever. Pneumatic works great. I advise using building instructions from the LEGO app as it helps rotate the model and see where different parts needs to click. Final product looks beautiful (it is BIG). I am more of an Alinghi fan (the Swiss team in the America Cup), but nevertheless this model will be proudly displayed in my collection.

Really enjoyed making this yacht. Very well engineered to replicate the New Zealand yacht. First LEGO boat i've made and hope they do more in the future for the adult builder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing Lego set. There are a lot of pieces to put together. It is a nice yacht with bright colors and beautiful details. It is so durable after the set is put together. Legos are great time passing activities.

This is a really nice kit. It was a fun and a little bit of a challenge in areas. A great looking model to display. My only complaint is the piston that supplies the air for the parts to move. I think it needs to be bigger. Thanks for a great kit.

Where to begin. This was one of the toughest TECHNIC builds I have done so far. Parts I have not seen before, many intricate details when building. Stickers - my nemesis. But when she is ready to sail, it is a beauty. The colors are dramatic. The sails tall and sturdy on the mast. I can imagine it was as almost as hard to build and it is to sail! Almost. Yes, the hydraulics are complicated and for me I could not figure out how they worked from the instruction book. I called LEGO and the advice I received was to "finish the build". Not helpful in this case. They should work at page 92. Went online and found a video that was not exactly clear, but helped me figure out how they worked. And they worked as indicated. Still found some of the views in the manual a little confusing from the angle. Happy to say the printing of the book colors was perfect this time. So, all in all a great set, a challenge, and worth the money.
