LG MSER1590S 1.5 Cu. Ft. Stainless Countertop Microwave

Did cook the food OK, but drew about 40% more power than shown in specifications (according to my watt meter): was 2,040 W at first, which dropped to 1,700 W within 2 minutes. I cannot use this with the power source I have.

Without question, this is the worst microwave I have ever owned!!! Unless you stand right next to it, it is impossible to hear the "ding" at the end of cooking.... absolutely stupid!! The sensor cooking is far from accurate....it tends to burn things. I regret having bought this, and I have only had it about one month. While I did not buy it from this website, I had no other way to let people know what a waste of money this is!!

It cooks quickly and evenly and we like how the light turns on when it starts cooking so we can see the food as it is being cooked. It also defrosts quickly and evenly. We also like the size, it is quite a bit larger than the microwave we had before. It is also very easy to clean. Would recommend!

I have had this microwave for less than 1 month and it has started to emit a vibration noise when in operation.

Looks great and matches the rest of my new LG appliances. I like the features and microwave heats/cooks food well. Nice size, plenty big for our needs. Cons-noisy, when operating. Sounds like something might be hitting the fan. Also control panel is dark and hard to read in low light.

This microwave has a lot of space inside for bigger containers and what made us love it even more was the safety lock on the side so it’s not easy for a kid to come and open it.

We bought this microwave to replace the old LG 1.5 cf countertop microwave we had for 10 years and it finally died. It was awesome and we loved it. It was quiet and cooked the food perfectly and was easy to open and close and fit in our space. The new neochef is so loud! Like an airplane getting ready for takeoff. If I put my hand on the door it gets a bit quieter. The new 5 point tray wheel is horrible. There are 3 wheels and 3 square pieces that drag along, and the plate sits up too high. Also there is SOOO much condensation after cooking, it is awful!! Is there any fix for this?? On the older version there was a :30 add time or reduce time which I liked a lot. It’s gone. The clock does not keep time. I set it and it falls behind in a day. Also, the almost all black door is constantly smudged with fingerprints. Why fix something if it is working???? This machine is like a relic from the 1980’s. Total garbage. If the door is not supposed to be loose, I would like a different machine or an explanation for why it is so loud please!

I have been using this microwave for almost a month. For the most part it is working just fine. There is a kind of rattle when the turn table is moving. It may only be a loose fit. It is just an annoying sound.

So far so good. We have had it about a month and it has worked out just fine. No kids in our house so we took a screwdriver to the side and disabled the child lock. I can say that even with the lock in place it opens nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I concur with Nana146 on the circuit overload. The spec has 10.4 Amp power. We require to have arc flash breaker, so we put in 20 Amp arc flash breaker for the microwave. It overloads the circuit FIVE times in two runs in one day. On average, it overloads the circuit once a week. It will be in the basement soon enough. This is the second one we trade in. The first identical unit had the burnt smell when operated and louder than normal noise.
