Living Proof Clarifying Detox Shampoo - Ulta Beauty

This made my hair SQUEAKYY clean. It could use a little bit more lather, but I realized this product doesn't have a lot of foam formation when used, so don't be shocked. I also HIGHLY recommend pairing this with a moisturizing shampoo.

I absolutely love Living Proof's Clarifying Detox Shampoo. My hair is thin fine and colored and it tends to get weighed down easily. This shampoo leaves my scalp feeling super clean without stripping or drying my hair. It gives me volume and makes my hair feel lighter and fresher for days. I use it once a week along with the Living Proof Leave-In Conditioning Spray and the Triple Bond Complex and my hair has never looked better. Everything works so well together. A little goes a long way and it smells great too. Highly recommend if your hair needs a good reset.

This is the best clarifying shampoo around! I can use it after having multiple days worth of product in my hair and you would never know that I did not wash my hair daily. It is a magic product that is a must have in my routine!

A staple in my hair care routine, and even helps combat frizz in the summer for a shiny, glossy finish. Love that it builds strong hair and protects from heat damage! Definitely worth the investment if you don't have this already- you'll be hooked!

This product is the one I never knew I needed. It helps strip my hair of the gunk. My hair is colored and it doesnf bother the color at all.

This is by far the best detox shampoo I have ever used. This Living Proof Clarifying Detox Shampoo resets my hair with just one weekly use. It removes all product and any pollutants. I am really perplexed by all the positive reviews. This shampoo made my hair feel like straw! I generally only condition from my ears down but there was no way I could even attempt to brush out my hair without deeply conditioning from root to end. In addition, I couldn't get much of a lather so it took a lot of product to do all my hair.

It says "gentle" cleanse in the description however from my experience it's pretty stripping. I used it every 5-7 washes but everytime my scalp was bone dry and itchy. I have notoriously sensitive skin and this was unfortunately a no. :(

I received a travel size sample of this shampoo and was looking forward to using it. I normally use a detox shampoo weekly. This is the worse shampoo I've ever used, in the shower my hair felt like straw and I couldn't get a brush through mt hair I had to use a deep conditioner bond repair treatment to add moisture back to my hair. I immediately threw what was left in the trash.

I bought a travel size of this detox shampoo to try it out. I get really oily hair with itchy patches from dry shampoo build up and flakes. I don't wash my hair every day so every time I wash, I have used this. It does a really great job of cleaning my scalp and hair. My hair does not get oily as fast as it typically does. Once I blow dry it, my hair is smoother and more manageable, less frizz. Now, after sampling the trial size I will purchase the bigger bottle, even though it does seem a tad pricey.

Avoid avoid avoid. This was recommended to me by an Ulta employee and after using it once, I had 10x shedding. I've never had this happen with any clarifying shampoo.

I have very hard water where I live and I use this once a week to get the minerals out. I have an oily scalp and my hair is so soft and easy less oily now!

This was my very first time trying living proof products. I don't know if I'm not a fan of the brand in general or just this product. I was looking for a clean product because I have a sensitive scalp. I have very healthy hair that rarely has product or heat applied to it. I don't detox my hair too often because of this so I wanted something gentle, but still able to do the job. This detox shampoo did absolutely nothing for my hair. It didn't even lather at all, even after using it twice and also using a scalp massage massager to see if it would help it lather. My hair almost felt dirtier after using this because it didn't get a proper clean. I am so happy. I only bought the travel size version to test it out because I will never be using this again.

I LOVE this shampoo! I admit, I got quite a few days in between washing sometimes. This gets all the dry shampoo, and other styling products out of my hair — without leaving it overly dry or stripped. It's a must buy.

I've live on a well so I have hard water. I'd been having an issue with greasy roots that didn't ever seem to get clean. I used this shampoo once and my hair is soooo clean feeling with no greasy feeling. Even 3 days later. I highly recommend.

I have fine, colored asian hair. I also have scalp psoriasis. This shampoo leaves my head feeling nice and clean and usually even calms the itchiness I get from my psoriasis! I love that it doesn't dry my scalp out, I've purchased 2 jumbo bottles already!

5 stars is not enough! I’m in my early 50’s and hormones drastically changed my hair! My hair was FINE after coloring always, last color was June 1 2023, and by May 2024 my hair turned into straw. If I tried any heat styling, it literally turned my hair into a stuck almost solid plastic feeling sheet. I couldn’t comb/brush/finger-style it out! I started using this restore line, and the results are incredible!! My hair is super soft again, can be heat styled, and looks and feels so much healthier! I use nothing but Living Proof products now, and now my daughter uses it too as she’s a constant platinum color blonde girl and all that bleaching was starting to ruin her hair!! Now, her hair is doing great again, even with consistent coloring!
