Brush gets caught in hair
It's a great concept, but the wiry brush gets caught in my curls!

Gross feeling
The mascaras are a terrible fill in, they are not smooth, color comes off on your fingers all day long and the coverage sucks.

Not for me :(
This did not work for me at all. Very clumping and hard to spread. Will not be ordering again!

even worse than i thought...update
After wearing it for about an hour it flaked all over my forehead from a few small scratches to my head. Embarrassing! Glad I just did a small patch. This would not survive bed or a hat.

Absolutely not worth the money
Not at all! It is not worth the money at all. It doesn't do absolutely anything. It gets all caught up in your hair.

Hate this product!
I have tried this several times and each time I regret it. The hair mascara is clumpy and sticky- it's just a mess! It feels terrible in my hair, so I end up having to re-wash my hair to remove it. I finally tossed the whole wand out.

Crunchy but effective
I appreciate the ability to apply root cover in such an exact manner, however, I really didn't care for the texture that it left my hair. The root cover mascara dries to a crunchy stiffness that can't be combed out. It works, but I probably wouldn't purchase it again.

Hair and Brow Mascara
I like the concept, packaging, and size. I don't like the quality of the coloring agent or the color. It's basically a large mascara. Although it applied easily and conveniently like regular mascara (but on the scalp), it dried to a cakey and greasy coating. Even after brushing, it still felt greasy and heavy, matting the hair. I tried a second time, using a lighter coating, but the color didn't cover my white roots (I have dark brown-black hair). I might as well use drugstore mascara for the same quality and effect at a fraction of the price. The color also didn't match my hair - it leaned darker and looked like someone ran a Sharpie marker on my hairline, creating a dark section that stood out from the rest of my hair. I'm throwing out the item (used just twice) and feel that it's a waste of money.

Disappointed
I was very excited to try the Root Touch-Up mascara. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. It leaves your hair sticky, and the color is very dark, even when I selected the lighter option. I tried different ways, thinking that I was probably doing something wrong. I let it dry, brushing my hair after applying—the results were always disastrous. It feels weird because I love every product I've tried from Madison Reed, but I would not recommend this one at all.

Brow Mascara
Fair.....the brush roughed up the hair where I was applying it and I suggest a FOAM BRUSH instead of the mascara type brush

Love the application!
Color is too dark. I'm navigating the site to see if it can be exchanged for a lighter color.

Terrible! Powder works much better.
I have used Madison-Reed products for years, and love almost every product I have tried. The light brown Hair and Brow Mascara is a glaring exception. I am going back to Madison Reed's root touch-up powder, which does a far better job temporarily covering and blending gray roots. Maybe it's just me, but this product did not cover my grays at all. Overall, Madison Reed earns an A+, but the Hair and Brow Mascara earns an F.

Awful for hair
Not at all. This might be the worst product I've gotten from Madison Reed. I hadn't really enjoyed their powder for root touchup. I found a challenging to use. This one seemed more promising. First of all literally looks like mascara. The brush is very long. I didn't use it on my eyebrows, but I do believe if I tried, it may catch some stray hairs, and be hard to target the area. As for my hair, it looks like paint. It went on goofy. It literally is a mascara brush. It combs the hair and you can see now my hair is greasy and looks terrible. I am so grateful I didn't use this after I straightened my hair because I would have to wash it. This is the last Madison Reed product. I will try besides their hair color.

Good grey coverage
Good coverage of gray, however the brush gets stuck in my hair (coarse, wavy)

greying eyebrows
i like the brush of this product. I do find it sticky if used on hair line. I ordered it for my eyebrows and covers well, although it flakes into little pieces in extreme heat.
