The Master Lock No. 140D solid body padlock features a 1-9/16 inch (40 mm) wide solid brass lock body that is strong, durable and resists corrosion. The 1/4 inch (6 mm) diameter shackle is 7/8 inch (22 mm) long and made of hardened steel, offering extra resistance to cutting and sawing.

Wonderful lock
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this padlock from Masterlock. It has so many uses and is the perfect size for chains, latches, etc. it’s heavy brass but compact. The key work every single time and is easily opened but would be hard to break. I highly recommend this lock for a variety of uses. It comes from a trusted brand and is of great quality.

Used for shed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked wel a d served purpose. I used on shed we recently purchased and it was pretty solid. We had been having a lot of break in recently so I wanted something that would work but not so bulky and ugly. This was simple and effective.

Awesome Lock
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Masterlock for my small tool box. its a strong lock has good weight to it. I like it has the 4 pins harder to pick.It has a hardened steel shackle which is great also to keep people from trying to cut it. It is solid breast and weather resistant it comes with two keys great for tool boxes cabinets anything you need to keep secure.

Great Durability

Basic lock for my locking needs

I am a loyal customer who always uses their products. You never know when you’re gonna need some thing to be locked up, I lock up everything for my bikes to my storage units to my file cabinets with this brand

You can put it on, on your luggage while traveling. A little big but works well. Very well-built and strong locks

Nice lock

Very heavy duty for such a small lock
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this and used it to put on our side fence. Was worried it wouldn't fit or hold because it's pretty small but it's on there and it is holding tight! I would say don't lose the key because this little baby is not going to come off without a fight. I actually like that the size is small so it's not so obviously there. Again, just remember where you put the key. ;)

The best locks

Provides a sense of security
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Master Lock is extremely sturdy and very simple to use. Before my swim at the YMCA , I securely lock my belonging in a locker, safety pin the key to my swimming suit, and don’t give a thought regarding their safety. I would prefer not to have to deal with keeping track of a key, but at least there is an extra key.

Perfect for keeping things secure

Finally found one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been looking all over for a 40 mm wide padlock and was ready to give up!! This fits nicely in my door to our snowmobile trailer and locks up our very expensive merchandise as well as three snowmobiles. Trailers have been broken into in the area and a brass lock that fits our door will certainly slow them down maybe even, hopefully, detour them! Key fits nicely and is definitely what we were looking for!! Security!!
