They provide extra slip resistant protection and cushioning underfoot, and also extend the life of your rug by preventing pile crush and traffic wear patterns. Rug pads should be smaller than your area rug size by at least 1-2 inches on each side. This allows the rug to lay flat on the ground preventing a tripping hazard. Most area rug pads can be trimmed down to size using scissors.

So it's a beautiful rug, but I received mine via delivery and there were dead bugs on it. I told a Target rep via the app about it and they just said to return it-- it was wrapped in plastic, so I can't rewrap it and it doesn't fit in my car. Again it's nice, but vacuum it first in case of bugs if it got shipped. Upset that the Target rep didn't show some form of "sorry for the ick" I found not one or two, but several little orange nasty dead bugs!

Ordered the dark blue but not as dark as the picture shows and there is no gold in it. Was wondering if I had gotten the other color but it is the only blue to order...pretty but kind of disappointed. Received the runner waiting on the large carpet size

The rug is very well made and much better in the flesh than I thought it would be based on the photos I saw online. It's very tightly woven with a well-finished tassled edge on either end. The color has variations to the color rather than it being one, flat, block color. The quality is excellent, and worth the money for the 5'x7' size that I bought. Would definitely recommend.

This rug came very well packaged and laid flat immediately. The frings is so pretty, and the rug is very soft. It IS very thin, but that is why I purchased it, as we're using it under our desk area. Our desk chairs roll on it just fine. I ordered the teal color, which as other reviewers have noted, is more of a light blue. It is very pretty and goes well with both blues and greens. As a note, like many rugs, this one changes color depending on the side you're looking at it from, so you can change it's color by turning it 180 degrees. I have it set where looking into the room, it looks light blue, but looking out of the room, it appears much darker.

Very good rug! I wasn’t sure I was going to like it. I ordered the gray which is more of a greige upon arrival, and a good chameleon at picking up surrounding dominant gray/beige. Now I wish I could get the exact same rug in same color different pattern! Threshold rugs are always packed very well and this rug unrolled flat immediately! Good job!

This is a beautiful low pile rug which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s soft and the fringe is short so it stays in place. The pattern is large scale so it doesn’t look so busy. You will want a pad underneath to give it some cushion and to protect your floors. I like that the color is a grayish beige. This is perfect for our family room!

It won't let me attach a photo of the color, but it is exactly what we were looking for. Light blue with just a hint of green. It's really soft underfoot, though it's not super "plush" due to the lower pile height. It vacuums up really easy.

I tried two other rugs that I purchased in store but they didn't quite look right in the room/match. I took a chance and ordered this one online since the price was reasonable and it looked like what I was looking for. It appears to be good quality, but I haven't had it long enough to attest to how it wears over time. It is a great muted gold color just like it looked online. It has some tassels on two ends but they are small and don't interfere with the vacuum cleaner. My only gripe is that I ordered the matching runner and it is a darker gold color.

Just got this rug delivered today and I really like it for my dining room. I got it in gray. It is kind of a taupey gray and the cream is definitely on the beige spectrum.I love the fringe on the ends. It's perfect for a dining room because it is on the thin side as far as rugs go. Good rug for the price.

Just as pictured, nice quality, grey, beige, and goes well with either color scheme. Lightweight but with a rug pad it is nice and soft. First day we had the rug out dog threw up on it, it cleaned up very easily.

Very nice looking rug. I have it in my entry. It is not as plush as the old rug that I replaced, but it works because it's in the entryway. My old rug was from Walmart called: Suzani area rug from Better Homes and Gardens. I am still happy with the purchase because it is a very pretty rug. I got the dark blue.
