A: Unfortunately yes, if the glass breaks the kettle would have to be replaced. The electric kettle includes 2 pieces, the kettle and the heating base. If the kettle or the base go bad for any reason, each would have to be replaced.

Stay away, though nice to look at (its-blue light) Less than a month after buying, it stops working. My research and examination on why it died, yield the result of a faulty center pin contact from the glass water container. All these wireless kettles as a defect in their center pin contact going to the base, where the glass (water) container electrical "center-center" contact portion come apart resulting in no contact (AC electrical flow) resulting in, as stated before, a dead kettle. Stay away! I am so disappointed.

Takes too long to boil
I ordered this about a month ago after my previous electric kettle stopped working and when I received the item it took a really long time to boil the water like over 10 minutes. I was getting really tired of waiting so long for the water to boil I emailed the manufacturers asking about the time it took to boil and they told me to exchange for another one because it should only take about 2-4 minutes to boil so I did exactly that, but even though the new one does take less time to boil than the first one it does not take 2-4 minutes like I was told, it takes around 8 minutes. I could just boil water on the stove in that time

Easy to use - fill it, plug it in, push the start button. Water boils quickly, and there's no annoying sound when it's done. The light goes off as well as the heat. It's a good value if all you want to do is quickly produce boiling water. It also looks nice on the counter.

I got this kettle to make hot water at work. So far, it has worked well! Love how it automatically turns off once the water is boiling (and the blue light turns off to let you know!). Only thing is that it's a bit large. It seems that electric kettles all come in a certain size and this was the smallest I could find.
