A: Hi KM. It's possible that it has some type of exposure to lead in the wiring of the unit. Not anywhere water would boil.

Bought at xmas died at xmas
I find it weird it wouldn’t turn on suddenly exactly 2 years to the day after purchase. There’s no reason we can see that it would stop working. Not going to repurchase this product as I feels they make them cheap on purpose so you have to replace it all the time. No thanks.

Pretty but delicate - broke
I love the look of this kettle with the lights, but after not even 2 months the glass cracked and broke from the spout hitting a cup only lightly. Did not think it would be this delicate because that is a normal occurrence. Bought another one that does not have a glass spout as replacement.

I really like this kettle, it has blue LED lights that come on when the kettle is heating water, supercool in the dark! It's not the fastest kettle in the world, but it works, it's BPA free and the price is excellent. What's not to like?

So far so good
We’ve had this kettle for a couple months now and we love it. It’s very easy to use and clean. The blue lighting on it is very pretty. The kettle heats up water very quickly, and it much more convenient to use than a stove top kettle. The lid is spill proof and I don’t have any issues spilling when pouring the water.

Disappointed only last 3 months
It worked fine in the beginning but after 3 months, it is no longer working properly. I would turn on the electric kettle and it will stop heating up the water before the water boils. The glass also does not retain the heat so if you don’t use up your hot water immediately, it will have cooled down substantially in a few minutes. My old Hamilton Beach electric worked well for 8+ years until one day it decided to stop working. This one only lasted 3 months, so invest your money in a more durable product! I am also unable to return the product to Target since it has been more than 3 months.
