A: This kettle only boils, so it only has a simple On switch. My glass broke on first brew/clean. Ugh.

Q: After the kettle boils, what temp does it keep the water at for an hour? I had 2 previous models ..1 cycled the water so it kept it at boiling & the other kept it at about 190 after it boiled.

A: When it has reached boiling, the lights will chage from red to green (the keep warm indication). But as soon as you lift the carafe, the keep warm feature is canceled.
submitted byLatitude42 - 1 year agoA: On average, the kettle will be triggered to reboil the water once it has cooled 15 degrees below the temperature it was set to. For the higher boiling temperatures (ex: 212°F – Black Tea), Keep Warm will activate at 190°F to re-boil the water. For the lower heating temperatures (ex: 175°F – Green Tea), Keep Warm will activate at 160°F and bring the temperature back to 175°F.

So far so good, but not quite as fast as a British kettle
Great so far. I like the keep warm function and that everything automatically shuts off once boiled. I used to live in the UK and have to say British kettles do come to boil faster than our Chefman kettle. But it still does what it's supposed to so we're happy!

I have 1.2 liter one and it works very well. The water screens is not working well. You can remove it.
