A: It says the parts that touch the water are BPA free. It has plastic parts like the lid, base, and handle which probably are not. The water part is steel, so BPA not a factor.

A: The parts inside the kettle that touch the water are all steel -- except one part, which is the water level indicator window (which shows the water level from outside). This part is made of plastic as far as I can tell. And, it DOES touch the water. While it may be BPA free, I am not too happy about any plastic touching the hot water. I have added a question to the manufacturer on this forum for more info on that particular part. Looking forward to hearing from them.
