Description
Grow and feed your favorite succulents with Miracle-Gro® Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Mix. This container mix is enriched with Miracle-Gro® Plant Food and features a fast-draining formula. Get beautiful, colorful results with this mixture of forest products, sphagnum peat moss, sand, and perlite. To use, start with a pot with a drain hole and fill 1/3 full with soil. Place the root ball of your plant in the soil and add more mix. Press lightly; water the plant and let drain. Let the soil dry to the touch between waterings. Do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. Repotting citrus annually to the next larger size container will encourage fruiting. We recommend wearing gardening gloves and washing hands after using this and other garden products. One 8 qt. bag of Miracle-Gro® Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Soil fills two 8-inch containers (amounts may vary based on the size of the root ball).

A: Contains forest products, sphagnum peat moss, sand, perlite, fertilizer(NPK: 0.06-0.02-0.04 with part of it polymer coated for timed release of nutrients) and a wetting agent. Actual contents or ratio of contents will vary for Georgia and New Hampshire.

Unfortunately, soils may become infested with insects while in storage or while they are waiting for sale. This does not mean that every consumer is going to have issues with gnats, Miracle-Gro makes every effort during manufacturing to ensure that our products remain pure.

This is not fast-draining - it sprouted mushrooms after 1 watering! I had even mixed in a bag of perlite after reading other reviews to prevent this - but clearly even that did not improve the drainage. Killed my poor plumeria 😰

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very middle-of-the-road potting soil. I repotted succulents and a small citrus tree with the product, and they are doing fine. I can't say that it's much different than any other soil I've used or that my plants are doing noticeably better. I think the cost of this soil is fair for what you get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good potting mix, but I question it being good for plants that don't like water retention - i.e. cactus, palm, citrus. It claims fast-draining, but it seems to still hold water. For that reason, some plants may not like this, so just keep a watchful eye. Also, the price is pretty high, so it's best to feel like you got what you're paying for. Given that, I don't think I'd really recommend it, but it's not horrible.

It has a rich texture and I could tell it wasn't some cheap product. Since using it I've noticed my plant has grown much more and looks very healthy. My only small complaint is the packaging as it is very thin for such a heavy bag and it was very ripped open when I received it, so I'd be careful when picking it up. Overall I do recommend this!

The mix is well-draining and contains sand and perlite, which helps prevent overwatering — a must for these types of plants. One of the best features is that it’s enriched with Miracle-Gro plant food, which gives a noticeable boost in growth, especially for my jade plants and citrus tree. My cactus has also stayed happy and healthy with no signs of root rot or compaction. That said, it may retain a bit more moisture than some other cactus mixes, so if you’re growing particularly sensitive desert plants, you might want to amend it with extra perlite or pumice. When I saw this was designed for succulents, I was super excited to try it because my current succulent plants were not growing properly. After changing the mix and tending to my plants, new leaves started growing. You can see the beautiful vibrant green leaves in the picture!
