  • A: @Mernween The MOBI Smart App allows you to connect multiple smart devices, including the MobiCam HDX Camera. One of the features of the MOBI Smart App is that you can share your smart devices, such as MobiCams, MOBI Security sensors, MOBI Doorbells, Mobi Smart Electric Plugs, etc. with multiple users! You can either build a virtual home in the MOBI Smart App and share ALL of your devices with your family members, or you can share an individual device with another user! All the other user needs to do is create an account with the MOBI Smart App. Once their account is made, you go to your device's settings and tap "Share Device." Once you're there, you type in the user's email, and BOOM! You're now sharing your device with them. You can also choose to remove them from your device at any time.

  • A: Hello, once you have successfully connected your camera through a 2.4GHz wifi network, onto your MOBI account, you can view live camera feed from anywhere as long as you are utilizing internet/wifi from the viewing device. You must be connected to 2.4 (2G) WiFi from your phone while setting up the camera. Once connected, if your internet provider provides 5G you are welcome to utilize that after.

In a brightly lit room or daylight, gently cover the night vision sensor (found above the camera lens) until you hear it 'click' to night mode. Uncover and let it 'click' back to daylight mode. Repeat this process five times.

  • A: Hello JB, Thank you for reaching out to us. When you have a dual-band router we recommend splitting the router where there are individual unique sign-in/password for each network. Once this has been done you should have no issue solidifying a connection for the MobiCam to your Wi-Fi. Without the split, the router has the potential of one network emitting a charge over another causing interference. Therefore, if connected the MobiCam may go offline, or in setting up it won't connect.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize that you are receiving poor video quality from the MobiCam HDX. With the MobiCam being connected to the WiFi to operate, reception and network speed are now a factor in the quality of your video and audio. The MobiCam requires an upload speed of at least 10 Mbps and we recommend at least a download speed of 20 Mbps. When your WiFi produces speeds that don't meet the required rates, you will see a decrease in the quality of the video and audio. Also, if the reception percentage is below 80%, you can experience the same outcome as slower speeds. We recommend installing the camera in an area of the home with strong WiFi reception for the device to perform at its highest potential.

I really can’t stress enough how terrible this monitor is. We bought it in a pinch when we left our regular monitor while traveling and had to wait for it to be returned. The camera makes a sound when it moves, the app is terrible and you can only hear or see if you have it actively open looking at it which really drains your battery, and it doesn’t pick up sound well. Basically it will wake your baby up but also make it very easy to miss that they’ve woken up so really defeats the whole point of a monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this camera for my baby monitor and it works great. I love being able to move the camera around to be able to see in different directions. I actually have two daughters, sharing a room and with this I can watch both of them with one camera. It makes it a lot easier than having two baby monitors set up. The clarity is really good too. Once they grow up and get into separate rooms, I’ll be buying a second camera.

Should’ve went with a better brand. It has horrible clicking sounds all throughout the night/morning, bright blue light won’t turn off, and the quality is supposedly HD but it constantly gets blurry. So far it only lasted about 10 months and the quality of the video just got worse.

When pairing the MobiCam we recommend to be in an area of the home where you reception to the 2.4G network is strong as a weakened connection can result in the MobiCam displaying a blurry video quality. When the device transfers from day vision to night vision and vice versa, the device will click, and unfortunately, we don't currently have an ON/OFF feature for the blue power indication light. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I have been trying to instal it via Wi-Fi. a big headache as it is not connecting after multiple times of trying to download the app, to reset the device, to connect to two different networks. frustrating . will be returning it.

When you are receiving poor video quality or lags in the video we recommend ensuring that your WiFi upload and download speed meet the required speeds recommended for the MobiCam to operate as designed. To confirm this you must run a speed test. You can run a wifi speed test by opening up the browser on your mobile device while connected to wifi and in the search bar, typing in "WiFi Speed Test." This will take you to the Google speed test, and you should see a blue button that reads "Run Speed Test." Tap this button and allow the test to run. It should take no more than 1 minute. It will provide you with an Upload and Download speed. If you discover that your speeds meet the requirements but your device is still not operating as designed, please feel free to submit a ticket to our 24-hr Support Desk at https://mobiusa.com/pages/contact-us

camera worked great for maybe the first year then we started having major problems. always "offline" so we would either have to reset it, or unplug and replug, like sometimes once a day. quality of the camera started to go down major also, the picture would either be just strait black, or so fuzzy and blurry we could've even see anything. and now we just completely broke and we went with a totally new brand of camera. major bummer.

The clicking that you witnessed is the transition of the MobiCam going from day to night vision. Which can be set to stay in one or the other. Also within the menu settings you will find "Sounds" which can adjust in volume. If your connection is weak, or you're in an area with weaker reception the MobiCam audio may produce static within it. Our recommendation is to place the MobiCam where there is a strong connection to the WiFi.

Broke after less than 1 year

Worked fine for the first few months, other than the horrid clicking sound it constantly makes when switching back and forth from night mode. The screen started getting lines through it. It began to lag on the app when you'd try to use the controls. I tried resetting it and it just completely froze. Shows offline even when it's plugged in and connected. Would not recommend!

In order for the device to operate at its highest potential the recommended WiFi download speed is a minimum of 20 Mbps, and the recommended upload speed is a minimum of 10 Mbps. When the device is not meeting those required speeds the device runs the potential to lag in live video, or produce poor audio or video. This includes static or distorted video. We recommend ensuring you have a good connection by placing the MobiCam in areas of the home that get good reception from the WiFi.

It sounds as though you may have the device "Motion Tracker" activated and the sensitivity is high. This is where the MobiCam detects motion somewhere within the room it is surveilling and moves towards it. You can prevent this by lowering the sensitivity or turning off the motion tracking feature. When you turn off "motion tracking" you will still be able to have "motion detection" activated. If the MobiCam continues to do this after the motion tracking is deactivated, please submit a ticket to our Support Desk at https://mobiusa.com/pages/contact-us

Horrible Money Wasting Piece of Garbage.

Horrible, don't waste your money. I bought it 2 months ago and it makes a crazy clicking sounds going from daylight mode to nightlight mode even though my son's room has blackout curtains. The video has all of a sudden just gone completely wonky on it and you can't even see the image anymore. I really wish I could return it and get my money back because now I have to go and buy another one.

We will be returning this, the day/night mode makes a loud click which is constant during nap time, the app closes without notice in the middle of the night… which we kind of need because, you know, it is a baby monitor.

The clicking sound you hear is the sensor kicking the device into the proper mode be it day or night. As for the App closing without notice. You Get What You Pay For

Very disappointed I let the return window close on this as we didn’t use it immediately. It is not a quiet monitor & makes loud sounds to pan/switch directions. The sound was okay at first but now makes a static-like sound which is annoying for me and disruptive for our child. You cannot speak and hear at the same time which has been recently frustrating. I will tell my child something via the camera and miss his response because there’s a lag between me pressing the mic on/off button and sound on/off button to hear. There’s a lag between video & reality. Picture is grainy at night. No zoom options. My final straw (which brought me to writing this review) is that I used this to keep an eye on my child while I was in the shower this morning. It showed an image of a sleeping child the entire time which meant mommy took her time and relaxed. I got out off the shower, still looking at a sleeping child on the baby monitor, to hear my child actually playing downstairs! So dangerous as my child can open doors, climb, etc.! The time stamp on the video ended up being over 10 minutes ago so who knew how long he’d been downstairs by himself. I absolutely will be buying a different camera.

With the MobiCam signal strength plays a factor in overall picture and audio quality the better the strength the better the picture and audio quality and the weaker the signal the worse the picture and audio can be. We recommend having the MobICam stations where there is a good reception. got this and was excited to try it out when i plugged it in i heard someone speaking and then i said something and it stopped. i immediately came here to see if it's suppose to talk to you? is it now I'm paranoid and nope no baby cam for me.

This is an indication that the device is in pairing mode and ready for the QR code it needs to sync into the WiFi.
