Description

With the NEW Single-to-Double Stroller 2.0, Mockingbird managed to add even more parent-friendly features onto their already award-winning stroller. Clearly informed and designed by real parents, these enhancements include an even more extendable canopy for sun protection, auto-adjusting seat straps to help parents buckle in their kids faster, a spring-loaded stroller lock for an easier unfold, and a redesigned frame that provides an even smoother and more comfortable ride.

The 2.0 version also comes with all the impressive features that helped its original model gain such a cult following. You can use this stroller both as a Single AND a Double by adding on Mockingbird’s 2nd Seat Kit as your family grows (you can even add on their Riding Board to support a third!). Also, unlike many other strollers, you can use the Single-to-Double from day one by using one of Mockingbird’s infant accessories.

This stroller really feels like “they thought of everything” – not only can it support all ages and multiple kids, but it also has an adjustable handlebar for caregivers of different heights, a seat that’s both reclinable and reversible to evolve with your child’s preferences, and a canopy that extends to different lengths to help block the sun no matter the angle. It has a giant basket to help carry everything you’ll need, a quick and easy one-hand fold, and thoughtful little details like a crumb release zipper at the base of the seat and reflective fabric for safer evening strolls.

With such impressive design, high quality materials, and a price that’s hundreds of dollars cheaper than most other premium strollers, it’s no surprise Mockingbird has rapidly become so famous in parenting circles and won countless awards like:

submitted byDems - 2 months ago
  • A: No, you have to buy that separately.

submitted byGabby - 1 year ago
  • A: No. Must be purchased separately.

  • A: Does it recline flat?

Q: Does it hold up to 50 pounds for both seats or per seat?

submitted by Nic - 1 year ago
  • A: Recommended child age/height: 6+ months up to 50 lbs (or 42”) for the stroller seat, or up to 45 lbs in each toddler seat if using them together.

Q: Will the accessories (bassinet etc.) from the mockingbird (1) fit the frame of the mockingbird 2?

Q: Are these all greenguard gold certified?

submitted by JA - 5 months ago
  • A: Stupid Question Ask about safety or anything relevant

submitted byDeShane - 2 months ago
  • A: Hi JA! We treat safety with the utmost respect at Mockingbird, and we meet (and often exceed) the highest standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and ASTM International (most recently the ASTM F833-21 standard). In regards to Greenguard Certification specifically, it’s not something we’re considering at this time. Greenguard Certification primarily exists to address Volatile Organic Compounds, and the types of materials commonly associated with VOCs (paint thinners, dry cleaning agents, petroleum, etc.) are not used in our gear.

Q: Does it come with car seat?

submitted by Zahraa - 7 months ago
  • A: No it does not come with a car seat. You must purchase the car seat and adapter separately. The mockingbird website sells adapters for infant seats I would check which are compatible prior to purchasing.

submitted byEm Uta - 7 months ago
  • A: Hi Zahraa! We actually don't carry our own car seat! Further, a Mockingbird Stroller comes fully equipped with everything you need for one child who has developed head and neck control — featuring our premium Toddler Seat, UV-protective Extendable Canopy, spacious Storage Basket, and handy Wet Bag. To customize your perfect ride we offer amazing accessories, including solutions for infants before they’ve developed that head and neck control, like our cozy Bassinet, versatile Car Seat Adapter, and snug Infant Seat Insert (all sold separately). For growing families, our fantastic 2nd Seat Kit and Riding Board make strolling with multiple kiddos a breeze!

Q: Is this petite/short caregiver friendly? Will I be able to see over the top of the canopy easily at my height of 5’2?

submitted by Anonymous - 1 month ago
  • A: Hi there! It's a great question! To know if the Stroller would be a good fit in this situation, I'd be happy to share some info about how you can adjust the Handlebar to customize your pushing experience. In its neutral position, the Handlebar sits 16-17 inches from the brake bar. Interestingly, many taller users prefer the neutral or middle setting over the highest. This is because rotating the handlebar all the way up actually brings you about 2 inches closer to the stroller. The neutral or middle settings extend the handlebar farthest from the stroller, giving you up to 2 additional inches of space. For comparison, here are the distances between the handlebar and brake bar in different positions: Lowest position: 11" from brake, Neutral position: 12" from brake, and Tallest position: 9" from brake

Q: Do I need a second seat kit for using this with a car seat and single seat?

submitted by Nina - 2 months ago
  • A: Hi Nina. Our Single-to-Double Stroller is ready to go with one kiddo. If you're looking to stroll with more than one kiddo (seat + car seat, seat + seat, etc), you will need the 2nd Seat Kit. The 2nd Seat Kit includes an additional Toddler Seat, plus the Upper and Lower Adapters needed to convert the Stroller into a two-seater.

Q: Compatible with the Cybex Cloud G Lux car seat? Which adapter do I need?

submitted by Jojo - 2 months ago
  • A: Hi Jojo! Unfortunately, we’re not currently compatible with the Cybex Cloud G. The good news is, if you end up going with a car seat we’re not compatible with, we have two other accessories that would allow you to stroll smoothly and safely with your newborn! Our other two options include: the Bassinet or the Infant Seat Insert. Both are available directly through our website.

Love this stroller. Personally I don’t mind the need to purchase separate attachments. It’s allowed me to change the stroller based on what I need which changes from outing to outing. I’ve gotten the car seat converter and the bassinet. The maneuverability is excellent. I’m able to navigate tight spaces and turns. It’s smooth over bumping surfaces and I’m able to push the stroller through grave as well. It is a bit heavy but it folds up ok and fits in the back of my Subaru forester. The quality of the stroller, the customization of it, and how it rolls, definitely makes up for the weight of it.

    Love it!!!

We got the single to double stroller as a group gift from my aunt and uncles. We recently opened it up to test it out since we are expecting baby soon. We LOVE this stroller. May husband and I are both tall, so the push bar being able to accommodate our height is great. The ride is smooth, love how easy it turns, and it’s easy to fold and unfold. We needed the adapter for our car seat, clicks in so easily! So happy with this stroller!

    So happy with this stroller!

This is a very nice stroller, I love the way it looks and feels. Its best feature is the flexibility it offers. I love that I can easily make it a single or double stroller OR single with a glider board as needed. I took it to the airport recently and got multiple compliments on how cool the glider board is. It is not an all terrain stroller so if you happen to be somewhere without smooth sidewalks that could be a bit tricky. For my purposes it has been just fine. It is also a big stroller to fit in a car, but I suppose almost any double stroller would be. I’m normally a very low-budget buyer so the stroller with add-ons definitely felt expensive to me, but after dealing with used strollers for so long I really wanted something nice and I’d say it was worth it.

    Extremely loose

Our stroller since the first use feels very cheap and loose. The handle bar is getting looser with time and we’ve been using for only 3 months. It feels like it’s going to disassemble while my baby is in it. I don’t think I’d recommend it to anyone.

    A great stroller!

Our little one is only 2 weeks old and we have yet to try out all the attachments, but we have been loving our strolls in the bassinet! The stroller is so smooth and baby is always happy to ride. 4 stars because the wheel base is much larger than I anticipated making it tricky to maneuver in some situations, plus my husband and I can’t walk side by side on sidewalks. Otherwise it has been perfect!

Cool for 1 rider not as a tandem double

It’s functional and lightweight, which I appreciate — but using it as a tandem double stroller, our main reason for purchasing it, has been disappointing. With a 25 lb toddler in the front and an infant car seat on top, the stroller feels sturdy enough, but it’s extremely difficult to steer or control on any sort of incline or decline, like sidewalks with driveways. We also bought the additional cup holder and storage attachment, which unfortunately feels like an afterthought. The soft storage section becomes completely inaccessible once the car seat is attached, and the hard clip-on cup holder is practically useless — it only fits very small, thin items and isn’t sturdy at all. For the price, the overall value and user experience just don’t live up to expectations. This stroller might work better for someone using it exclusively in perfectly flat, smooth environments like indoor malls, but for everyday outdoor use, it falls short.

This is such an amazing stroller!! I recommend it to everyone I see, it is so nice and good quality and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg compared to others. You won’t regret buying this one.! I am already pregnant with my second and have one under a year, I look forward to using the double system!

    Great on paved paths!

This stroller glides beautifully on the paved walking path near our home. The adjustable handle is nice. The shade comes down pretty far, but the sun can still get in baby’s eyes when the seat is fully reclined. Our baby is comfortable in the newborn insert we added on and we love that we can rotate the seat to be parent facing for this age! Going over gravel is very bumpy; grass is fine. The stroller is on the heavy and large side but not unwieldy. The seatbelt clips are a little tricky and the added cup holder is a bit flimsy. Overall pleased.

    Good

I love this stroller, it’s great for my 2 year old and my newborn whose now 5 months. I did have to purchase the adapter separate and the 2nd seat adapters as well to use his car seat. And now that he’s growing out of his car seat I’m thinking to buy the actual 2nd seat. The only thing I don’t like is when walking on unlevelved roads it slants to the side a lot maybe due to it being heavy already as well and the size it kinda big but it fits fine in my 3 row suv even with 3rd row up but other than that very convenient

    I love this stroller!

I take this thing everywhere! Stores, fairs, parks, neighborhood walks. You name it, we've probably done it. It is lightweight and folds/unfolds with ease. My kiddo is very comfy in it as well! I bought it planning ahead for a single-to-double stroller and I am so happy with my decision! I can't wait to buy my second seat kit! The stroller is a little bulky when folded and I'm sure it'll be bigger once it's a double but it's well worth it for the space and comfort. 10/10 is buy it again!

    Double stroller review

Set this stroller up a few weeks before baby #2. We loved how smooth it moved around the house. We got connector for graco infant car seat. Fast forward— now that baby #2 is here, we ended up returning. This thing is a huge tank. It takes up whole trunk space for rav4 2021. It’s dangerous to open and close with stroller converter connected because the stroller gets stuck to converter. The stroller still runs smooth but with a 29 lb toddler and 5 week infant in infant car seat… this thing is HEAVY!!!!!!!! It’s also hard to maneuver. It feels like the front seat is so far away and I have no idea what baby#1 is doing up there. It’s very long

    Too heavy

I converted from a Nuna stroller to this Mockingbird and was let down. It’s way heavier than my Nuna stroller and much harder to assemble the second seat if you remove the attachments. I thought it would be slimmer as well because of claims that you can fold it flat with one hand but that was not the case. Because it’s so heavy, it’s difficult to open with one hand without dropping it most of the time, and if you have the second seat on it takes so much more space. Honestly I was let down in all aspects.
