Q: Why don't any picture show the USB amplification power connections? And does this come with either a USB cable, power block or both? This certainly looks misleading.

A: I found that using the USB for power amplification didn't work so I utilized a power block at home and it works great.

The Mohu Plus antenna is a low-profile system that when connected and hung brought me 3 digital channels. I live in extreme rural Nebraska and live in a television drought area so I was greatly surprised that I got a CW, NBC and CBS affiliates with this antenna. I would suggest using a power plug instead of using the USB for powering the amplifier. This made all the difference in the world. Note that is took us about 10 different placements before we finally found the right spot. Up high and away from metal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high expectations for this antenna, but sadly that ended up not being the case. I purchased this antenna to replace and hopefully upgrade my broken Leaf Supreme Pro. I was excited that this was mountable and claimed to work installed in an attic. While I was able to pull a handful of additional channels with this, installing it in my attic didn't work out for me. I ended up with better reception sticking in in my window despite if facing the same way in my window as it was positioned up in my attic. This isn't what I wanted to do because I hate having it visible. If I didn't live in an apartment, I'd try mounting it on the roof to see if the reception was any better.

We have a few tips to try that may help. Try placing the antenna as high as possible, as trees and buildings can block the TV signals. You will also need to face the antenna towards the largest cluster of towers in your area. You may need to move the antenna to several locations to find the best reception. So much better. Went from 32-36 channels to 59. The clarity is great and unless it is super windy, rarely to no pixeling. Very satisfied so far.

I did not like this item because it did not work as the instructions stated that it would. I followed them step by step and I was very disappointed. I returned the antenna and just did without the programs until Uverse and TEGNA worked out their issues while their customers paid our bills in full and on time.

Mohu Sail antennas are great. I have two, and the coax 30-foot cable was useful as I had to snake one over a door jamb to reach the window where the antenna was. The support was excellent -- I asked a couple of questions before buying, and the techs emailed replies right away. Goodbye to FIOS. Highly recommended company.

When installed outdoors, my Mohu Sail works better than my indoor Mohu Leaf Ultimate 65. When they are installed indoors in the same ground floor window location, my Mohu Leaf Ultimate 65 works a little bit better. I am satisfied with both products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a second Sail antenna as I have been well satisfied with the first one. Both the antenna and mounting hardware are quite good. I also like the first stage amp in this product as I believe that it improves performance overall. The original power injector failed, but Mohu replaced it. It does make it difference to direct the antenna towards the transmitter even though it is a multi-directional antenna.

So I am speaking from experience because I bought the same antenna almost 5 years ago and have been very pleased with it. I live in Dandridge,TN and I pick up most of my tv stations from the tri-cities area in TN which is 72.6 miles from me and get clear crisp pictures.

Still cannot pick up a local VHF station 17 miles away. Advertising suggested that adding the amplified antenna would allow us to do so.

Hi Kath! The VHF station you are trying to receive may be a Low-VHF station which would require a very large antenna element. Most antennas are only capable of receiving Hi-VHF. I was hoping that this antenna would be much better than my mohu sky 60. The new antenna still needed to be pointed to the correct direction regardless what they say. I still needed to air toward the broadcast area to get the best reception on the strongest channel. I also needed to remove the amplifier so I was disappointed that it did not perform any better than the older version.

General as South/West, compass direction of 185-195°, and Antenna Point app. None would lock the signal without the picture stalling at times. I've tried small increments each day but still some stuttering. I live in Sacramento CA and signals should be strong. This was an expensive antenna.

We understand you have already given us a call, but we would like to help troubleshoot the antenna to determine exactly what the issue could be. There is a chance, depending on your distance from the broadcast towers, that you may not need an amplified antenna. Sometimes over-amplification can occur if you are trying to utilize an amp too close to the towers and could very well impact your signal reception. We are here Monday-Friday to help!
