Q: I work nigth shift - does the camera connect to my phone while I'm at work AND the monitor while my husband is home with the baby? I travel a lot, would just the parent monitor work without wifi?
submitted by BEggs - 5 months ago
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The camera of PIP1510 CONNECT can connect to the WiFi router at your home. When you work outside, as soon as your phone connected to the Internet, you can view your baby on Motorola Nursery app installed in your phone. Best Regards. The Motorola Nursery Product Team

Q: The description says it can have up to four cameras but no details on compatibility. Which cameras are compatible with this monitor and should be purchased to utilize the quadrant / split feature?
submitted by Sarah - 1 year ago
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the PIP1510 CONNECT can support up to four cameras. The PIP1510 CONNECT Camera will be available in August this year. At that time, you can visit at motorolanursery.com/support to have the buying details.
Terrible picture quality. The monitor is displaying the picture upside down. The app does not work. The picture will just keep spinning trying to load. Do not recommend at all.

This initially had good reviews when I was creating my baby registry, I thought it was a good price and I liked that you could view baby on the parent monitor and/or your phone. It is a total piece of crap! The phone app constantly freezes, it will show an empty crib when I just put the baby down in it. The parent unit is so quiet you can’t even hear him cry. And the camera itself doesn’t zoom down enough to get a good angle in the crib. I wish we could return it and get our money back. Seriously pass on this, it is not worth it.

The monitor doesn’t have a clock but has a temperature that is not correct. The app needs a lot of updated. I contacted motorola nursery several times to fix the app. They did. Then I contacted Motorola nursery to replace my camera since the temperature is always off. They sent me a refurbished camera and it did not work properly. The monitor has this sensor light that’s impossible to sleep at night. We put black tape over it. Just don’t know buy.

Do NOT, I repeat do NOT buy this camera. The only reason I bought it was because it had the capability to be run with wifi and without wifi, since people sometimes hack into these cameras. We’ve had this for about 6 weeks of use and it works only about 50% of the time. The camera constantly cuts off where we cannot see or hear our baby at all, and we have to unplug it from the wall to reboot it and sometimes that doesn’t even work!! A total waste of money and definitely not worth what we paid for it. Currently looking for another option and selling this.

i will start by saying the good: its a very aesthetically pleasing monitor and parent unit otherwise, the sound and image are 1-2 seconds late, the reach is SOO bad, the signal wont even make it through one door; everything (sound and image) gets cut off. The camera has a blue light that, if you ask me, is very bright and brightens the whole room. The quality of materials in the parent unit is SO cheap, its plastic, even makes a sound when pressing buttons! The most important complaint: the volume in the parent unit is not loud enough, so cant even hear when baby is up! it is VERY expensive and the relationship of price / quality is so bad.. will try to return but still figured i should make a review to warn parents that although it is motorolas latest baby monitor, its not as advanced as i wouldve expected I swear im not one to complain but this blew my mind; almost 200$ for this? ridiculous!

I am sorry that you are having issues with your PIP1510CONNECT. Can you please reset your devices: Disconnect both the parent and baby (camera) units from the power outlet. Wait for about 15 seconds and reconnect them. Allow up to one minute for the parent and baby (camera) units to synchronize. You can also delete the camera from the parent unit and add it back on: - press the Menu button and navigate to the camera symbol - go to Delete (x) and select the camera number you wish to remove; confirm Adding the camera works in a similar way, except you go to Add (+), select an open slot, and then press Pair on the camera If this does not work, can you please reach out to us so we can help you further? You can reach us by phone at: 1-800-763-2207. Monday Through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Central Standard Time.

Since alerts you when noise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love this monitor!!! It's so great because it doesn't use wifi and it's simple enough for grandma to use. It's nice that it's not through your phone so you can have it when you're cooking, in the garden or multitasking. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using baby monitor since years and no brand comes close to comparison for me with Motorola. It is one of the best with all the features one could want. The large screen size gives a good overview from the camera and gives a clear vision. The screen resolution is pretty good. The sound quality is very nice and the feedback from the monitor is also clear. Definitely recommend buying this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this monitor as I had been using an infant optics dxr 8 and needed another monitor or camera for my second. It was nice compare. The Motorola has a great screen size and is a sturdy device with a big camera base. I personally did not use the app so I can't comment but it is nice you can use both as i like having an actual unit vs using my phone. The battery life is ok, but def better than the infant optics. The day screen resolution is good but where it really lacks is the night vision. It's very pixelated and grainy while the infant optics is quite clear and to me that's the key time I need the monitor (at night) . Despite the battery issue with infant optics I'd choose that one over the Motorola. Of note an external battery pack solved my battery issue with infant optics

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This baby monitor has some nice features and is good quality. The 5' monitor it comes with has a clear picture. All other features work great with the exception of one. I couldn't get the camera app to connect to my phone. I tried about 20 times before giving up. I really wanted to be able to use the app, but unfortunately was not able. Besides this, the only other reason I would not recommend it is because of the price. It's way too expensive, but you can't put a price on your baby's safety.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this monitor has functions I didn't even know I needed! My favorite by far is the ability to move the camera with the included monitor. Now-if the camera isn't right on baby I can move it without the risk of being seen and crying occurring! It also includes the option to play songs and sounds for baby and an alarm for those short naps (or time outs). I also love the fact that it comes with a monitor. It seems everything has become so app focused (this also has an app) but with this being included you have the ability to use your phone and see and hear baby while working or playing in your device. You can also talk through this system, zoom in and out, add devices and use the app if you like or are away. The camera and monitor comes with charging cords and the ability to perform wirelessly. I'm really happy I got this-my family lives it!

The Best Baby Monitor Ever Created

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Motorola PIP1510 Connect - Video Baby Monitor with 5" Display should be the only baby monitor parents use. The crystal clearness of the live video feed is unmatched. It doesn't matter if it is day or night, the quality of the video stays the same. I love how the camera swivels and I can literally pan across my entire room. The camera goes up, down, left, and right effortlessly. The zoom in option is amazing and the speaker option sounds as if I'm actually in the room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera has great clarity. It adjust easily and super simple to hook up. The monitor can be used without plugging in but the camera needs to be plugged in to work. It has different settings for your needs. You can leave it on all the time or set it to come on when motion or sound is detected. You can also download an app and use it right from your phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of the camera is so cute, reminds me of Eve from Wall-e haha just overall a nice, modern design. The camera quality itself is really good since its 1080p and can swivel and zoom in. I like that you can view it in an app, or the monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby monitor as a gift and it couldn't have come in a better time! My baby is three months old and I'm constantly worried about her. This provides the peace of mind that I've been looking for. There's a two-way radio on it, there's lullabies, you can talk to your child and watch your child from any place in your house. The camera is nice quality and the video monitor is perfect for me! I would definitely recommend this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am impressed by the level of design and user experience of this baby monitor. It was easy to set up and get running, and the app is fantastic. I can record audio clips of my voice to play through the monitor, and it can also play lullabies and relaxing sounds. I liked that I could also record snapshots of the video or take still images if I needed to. Overall quite pleased with the user friendliness and the ease of setup within the app. Will continue to use this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this monitor. I have used one specific brand of monitor since my son was born 7 years ago. I like it a lot but I know the technology has changed in the intervening years and was excited to try this monitor. Pros - Cute camera Mounting device for the camera Large screen for the monitor Cons - WIFI connection - THIS IS A HUGE DEAL BREAKER FOR ME. There are too many stories of wifi connections being hacked and strangers speaking to kids through monitors. I will never use a wifi system because of this. The lights on the monitor are so bright and I can't turn them off. The sound sensor flashes green all night and light up our room while we are sleeping. I had to cover it with a shirt so we could sleep. Large screen - I know I put this on the pro list too. It's nice to have, super big screen and easy to see... but it makes the monitor so clunky to carry around. At the end of the day, I will stick with my closed system monitor. I will never keep a wifi video monitor in my kids' rooms. Too many horror stories, including by people I know personally. I like the mounting system for the camera but there are other solutions for that in a pinch.
