The MYQ-SGC2WCH has a magnetic mounting, so the camera can effortlessly attach to metal surfaces like garage door openers, shelves, or your fridge using the magnetic base. I purchased this camera about 4 years ago and it's been absolutely great. It took me less than ten minutes to stick the magnet to my old garage opener and plug it in and set up the app. I haven't had any issues with the camera, and it's provided a lot of value for the cost. Your teen tells you they left for the bus on time? You can check the exact time! Your housekeeper comes in for the weekly clean, you can see them coming and going. You want to scare your husband and ask him to bring you something (LOL)? You can turn on the microphone feature and communicate through the app. All-in-all it's a solid product and I have given a few as gifts.

I will admit- it may be user fault vs quality of the actual device, but I’ve tried it multiple locations in my garage and it will go off with nothing present and then miss things like my kids wandering through the garage, entirely. It shows a lot of close ups of spiders and bugs but missed the bird that was stuck inside for at least an overnight 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️. It’s ok overall and I was grateful to try it.

The camera is great except that you can’t insert a microSD card for local storage. You need to subscribe to their cloud storage if you want to have a copy of your videos which is another expenses for me so I decided to ditch my camera and bought CCTV with built-in local storage.
