Description

The beach looks good on you. That's why we've created Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. This secret weapon helps achieve those signature tousled waves that lead everyone to believe you just spent the day relaxing at the beach.

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray is formulated with dead sea salt and sea kelp to help create hair separation and body and leave your hair with a texturized, matte finish with no hot tools required. Ideal for straight hair, wavy hair, or curly hair, this hair spray offers UV protection and features a Tropical Vanilla Coconut scent that contains notes of sea spray, eucalyptus, lemon, almond, tropical fruit, coconut, vanilla, and tonka bean. This is a scent that will transport your toes to the sand if your hair hasn't already done so.

When you're ready to use the texturizing spray, simply spray onto wet hair or dry hair from mid-length to ends, then scrunch your hair and let it air dry or use a diffuser for extra volume. From there, style as desired.

Since we know you can't always keep the ocean and its breeze on call, we've bottled up their magic touch so that you can achieve that chic-yet-laid-back beach babe look wherever and whenever you want it.

Q: Is this spray for use only when air drying or can it be used before using a blow dryer?

submitted by We4Shipps - 10 months ago
  • A: Hi We4Shipps! Spray onto wet or dry hair from mid-length to ends. Scrunch hair and let air dry or use a diffuser for extra volume. Can be sprayed onto dry hair to create style on the go.

Q: I have very curly hair and can be frizzy. Would this product work to make curls soft but not frizzy? The "beach" does make my hair frizzy because of the humidity so it sounds like it might?

submitted by Robin - 11 months ago
  • A: Hey Robin, The Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray will create texture and grit to your hair. Unfortunately, It would not make your hair soft. I would recommend you to use a curl cream to help with the frizz and soften the curls. Q: What is the difference between the texturizing spray and the soft waves spray? Thanks!

submitted by kate938 - 4 years ago
  • A: Hello! Thanks for reaching out with your questions! Our Beach Babe Texturizing spray adds a matte finish whereas the Soft Waves contains aloe for softness and a loose, more relaxed beach-wave. The Soft Waves also has a tropical banana scent! :-) Hope that helps! -NYM Team

Really good curl spray to use in a pinch when I run out of the high end stuff. It works pretty good and has a good smell. It just doesn’t hold the curls well.

I used this after my mom bought it for me and the first time I used it, it turned my hair into a matted ball. I had to tear it apart and wash it repeatedly to get the product out of my hair. I will never use it again.

This is great for my hair but gave me an allergic reaction on my skin! Try out a skin test before using.

Old Formula Was Better

The new formula does not work the same, results are nowhere near as good, and the scent is headache inducing. Both formula should have been offered, because this one is awful. I’m currently searching for alternatives. Maybe just have to make my own. Such a shame to lose a good product that had no issues for years and years- and to replace it with this awful smelling joke.

New Formula is HORRIBLE

I absolutely loved this product and recommended it to all my friends until the new formula came along. Now, my curls don’t stick, my hair has frizzies, and it smells bad. I don’t know why on earth you changed your formula, but I highly suggest going back to the old one if you don’t want to lose all your customers.

I’m still a fan of this product because I love the way it smells and makes my hair feel after being in the ocean water. Does it make my hair super wavy? No. But is it nice to have at the beach to spray and give my messy beach hair a quick boost, yes!

major hike in price, major decline in performance. another good product ruined by a company looking for money over quality. id rather pay more for the old sea salt spray than have it decrease in quality. the new formula is terrible. do not buy. use other brands.

Being a male with curly hair I wanted to show off my curls. Unfortunately this product made my hair super frizzy and looked like I just woke up. I’ve used other sea salt sprays in the past but I wish the original formula came back.

Go Back To Old Formula

I used this for year and loved it, however, that last bottle I bought has the new formula and it doesn't work at all. It's not the same product. Honestly, why'd you even have to change it? I'll be looking for a new brand.

I was so disappointed when I got this home to replace the first bottle I bought. The original formula is so much better. This stuff STINKS and it does not give your hair any hold, texture or volume. It leaves it stringy/sticky. It does not dry down at all and the smell doesn't really go away. It used to be this delicious, warm, salty coconut smell but this smells like sour, acrid sunscreen. I wish I had believed the reviews about the new formula because this was a waste of money. Usually when I try a product I end up not liking, I use it anyway and try something else but there's no way at all I would ever use this again and I'd feel bad gifting it to someone. It really is that bad. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!

MOST OF THESE REVIEWS WERE ONE STARS BEFORE THE WEBSITE CHANGED THEM TO FIVE. THATS WHY THEY ALL SAY NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT THE NEW FORMULA AND DON'T RECOMMEND THE PRODUCT DESPITE GIVING IT FIVE STARS!!!! CORRUPTED!!!!! THIS BRAND RECENTLY INTRODUCED A NEW FORMULA FOR THEIR SEA SALT SPRAY WHICH IS WORSE BUT MORE EXPENSIVE AND THEYRE TRYING TO HIDE IT NOW.

Not to be dramatic but this product truly changed my hair. I have very fine, curly hair and my hair journey has been a huge struggle. My curls don’t hold well with gel or curl cream, it just weighs them down. My hair always looks the best after a pool swim or a swim in the ocean, so after doing research, I heard salt water can be good for those with fine, curly hair. This product revived my curls without weighing them down. It is amazing for post shower days after my curls have diminished as well. If you have fine, curly hair like me I seriously would recommend giving this a shot!!!
