  • A: Yes, you can use the iron without filling the water tank. If your fabric calls for no steam, just leave the tank empty and use the iron as a dry iron. Water is only needed if you want to activate the steam function.

    So far, so good

    This is my 4th Oliso mini. I had the older model, which did not produce steam consistently. Customer. support has been tremendous in helping me through that, and offered me a discount on the MP3 pro. I really like the upgrades on this model, especially the push button on and off the light and the automatic shut off. Hopefully this one will last me a very long time.

    Best mini iron for quilters

    This iron is perfect for quilters and those who sew. It gets very hot quickly and has a longer auto shutoff time than most irons. It is lightweight and easy to handle. It's also a convenient size to have next to your sewing machine for quick seam pressing. One of the best features is a built in LED light which is extremely helpful when pressing seams open.

    Turned my least favorite chore into my favorite!

    Doesn’t get very hot

    My cute little iron

    defective

    I ordered a new Oliso project iron. Iy was defective. I was sent a second iron. It was also defective. I received a third iron and this finally one worked. The customer service reps are friendly but the process is unnecessarily slow, requiring the rep to consult with a “team” before taking any steps. This happened over and over again and added many days to the process which significantly decreased my satisfaction. I can also see getting a defective item from time to time but twice? It makes me seriously wonder about this company's quality assurance process.

    I just love this iron.
