A: Yes, you can use the iron without filling the water tank. If your fabric calls for no steam, just leave the tank empty and use the iron as a dry iron. Water is only needed if you want to activate the steam function.

Excellent little Iron
My first mini craft Iron stopped working after only 3 uses. I have a large Oliso that I have had for years, so I know the brand was good. Contacted customer service and it was replaced without any issues. Great customer service and great products.

Mp3pro mini iron
I purchased a MP2pro mini iron that wouldn’t steam. Threw it in the trash. Ordered a second one. Same thing but this time I contacted Oliso. They replaced the iron with a new one because mine was under warranty. It worked great for a short time but then it wouldn’t steam. Tried everything Oliso told me to. Still wouldn’t steam. They said they could upgrade to a MP3pro with a 20% discount It works great. Still think I should have gotten a better deal since the Mp2pro was still under warranty. I was told to keep it and order the Mp3pro at the discount. St least this one works beautifully!

This is my 4th Oliso mini. I had the older model, which did not produce steam consistently. Customer. support has been tremendous in helping me through that, and offered me a discount on the MP3 pro. I really like the upgrades on this model, especially the push button on and off the light and the automatic shut off. Hopefully this one will last me a very long time.

Best mini iron for quilters
This iron is perfect for quilters and those who sew. It gets very hot quickly and has a longer auto shutoff time than most irons. It is lightweight and easy to handle. It's also a convenient size to have next to your sewing machine for quick seam pressing. One of the best features is a built in LED light which is extremely helpful when pressing seams open.
