Q: Is the iron Anti Calcium?

submitted by CTF - 2 years ago
  • A: I just bought the same iron. The anti-calc valve is hidden under the steam setting lever. Just pull the whole steam setting lever out and that is where it is. I hope this helps!

submitted bycamillagorilla - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi! Rowenta irons are designed to perform with tap water. This iron includes an anti-scale setting to reduce calcium build up.

  • A: Wrong answer. I just bought a Rowenta DW24 with an "anti calcium" feature. There is none. No anti calcium pin to remove as stated in the instruction booklet--i This iron won't last a year

    DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Doesn’t take the wrinkles out your clothes I would like a refund. It burns and mess up all your clothes and hard to iron slippery fabric. Just a very bad purchase!

    Not satisfied

For the price I would expect better results, first couple of days of having it the iron started to build up and burnt a whole on a shirt and burnt a blazer of mines.

    Its an iron

Personally, I think the nay-sayers are being a little too picky.. its just an iron. They all turn off now after 20-30 minutes of none use so they dont burn your house down. It gets plenty hot for all kinds of fabrics and is gentle on my more fussy fabrics. Its dripped once the past month of using it for both sewing and ironing out my scrubs because I was pressing the burst steam faster than it probably should be. Is it worth 80$? I dont know. I never had a cheaper iron before. The brand was highly recommended and I'm happy with the purchase.

    Scorches Everything

This iron scorches everything... even if you follow the correct settings for the fabric that you're ironing. I can't count the number of clothes that it's ruined.

    Disappointed

We used our old Rowenta iron for many years and were very happy with its performance. So when it finally broke, I didn’t hesitate to buy another Rowenta. Unfortunately, this new model has been a big disappointment. It takes a long time to iron anything other than a basic t-shirt, and overall, it just doesn’t perform anywhere near the level of our old one. Now I'm stuck with it since it’s been used. Sadly, I won’t be buying another Rowenta in the future, the quality just isn’t there anymore.

    Solid high quality iron

High quality iron. Has a good weight to it, lots of nice features. Heats up quickly. I don’t know how much I’ll use the retractable cord but it’s a nice option to have. I especially wanted an iron with an automatic off, and this one has it. It is LARGE so just bear that in mind, but for large ironing jobs it’s great.

    Set off the fire alarm!

The Rowenta Steam Iron is not the best quality. This iron kept setting off our fire alarm despite being used in a bedroom and the alarm being the hallway. We used another brand that unfortunately does not make an iron now for 6 years. The Rowenta did not feel like it would last 3 months.

    Poor quality

I have had a few Rowenta irons and this one is not the quality I expect from the brand. The cord was too short, the burst of steam didn't work AND it leaked.

Rowenta USED TO BE a great brand

We had a Rowenta steam iron for 10-12 years, and it finally gave up. It was made in Germany. We looked at the irons at Target, and all of them looked rather cheaply made, regardless of price. We bought the "high end" Rowenta ($59.99), and sadly it is a piece of junk. It is NOT ergonomic--heavy and awkward. The dials amd controls are placed almost as "puzzles" and it take way to long to set it up, and the weird colors make it difficult to read. The previous Rowenta was not heavy, did not leak, and the controls were bright and easy to use. The new Rowenta is coming back to Target--I'm betting one of the cheaper irons will be easier to use and probably last as long.
